Very Late Condo Queen here. You must have known I'd show up eventually.

I was not happy with the AMPS. Harvey didn't eat much of his t/f/s meal, nor his breakfast. At +2.25 I saw fresh blood on his nose, so I called the vet. He was also sneezing a lot and making that "snuffling" noise that Cinco made.
I made arrangements to drop him off on my way to the funeral and pick him up after, meeting with the vet then. They are very accommodating with us - maybe because I've been bringing my cats there since 1990!
So Dr. R felt that it was indeed an abrasion, and that he just did something to irritate it this morning. She didn't think he had anything up his nose, but said x-rays would be needed to confirm that. She didn't feel it was warranted at this time. She said I can try putting a little Neosporin on it a couple of times a day. She wasn't concerned about his licking it off, but suggested I try to prevent that for a minute or two so he can get some benefit from it. I asked if maybe it was a little inflamed, and that was causing the "snuffling". She thought that was likely. We talked about a possible infection, or the likelihood that the abrasion would get infected and decided to put him on Clavamox for a week or so and see how he does. If anything changes, I'm to bring him back for further tests. He had some quality time with his favorite vet tech, Jean, and was generally a good boy, except that he did not sneeze once the entire time he was there.
He sneezed all the way to the vet and all the way home, though! Maybe he's allergic to me!

Dr. R. was actually very impressed and pleased with how good he looks. She thinks I'm amazing and gives me a lot more credit than I deserve, but it's nice that she treats me like I know what I'm doing (boy, do I have her fooled!
).
I took some food and one of his special dishes, but he didn't eat while he was there. He was not enthused about dinner, so he got tummy meds and is now eating. And sneezing.

He's already headed up into numbers I don't like.
I'm hoping the Clavamox won't make that worse, but I'm not optimistic.
I had some errands that I had planned to do after the funeral and before going back to meet with the vet, but Mark decided he wanted to go to the house with the family after the service, so I didn't have the time. I dropped Harvey at home and went out and ran some of my errands then, leaving Mark to do t/f/s without me. I wanted to get them done so I can spend tomorrow working on the pantry, but I ran out of time, so I'll probably have to go out at some point tomorrow afternoon.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
