Hello all,

Looks like Ella might have gone lower last night as she hit the 186 an is now on the rise. My parents probably wont wake up during the night to test unless her +2 indicates so but will get spot checks throughout the day.

Her ears are an absolute wreck  I gave my parents the poker to use as getting the blood without it proved to difficult for them. On some parts they are purple, like they are bruised and from the front I can see a sea of blood blotches. I'm not quite sure why it's happening but she is very sensitive. I put polysporin on them and my parents are going to try getting blood from the inside of her ear. Can anything bad happen to her ears if they are over poked, or too much blood is taken? I suspect it's the latter as she gets poked way more when she's with me. Please let me know what I should look for. Right now I wish they didn't have to poke at all.

Just getting together the some last minute things before we leave.

Are your folks applying pressure for several seconds (like 10) after they poke? Also if you can get the Neosporin with Pain Relief (or the equivalent) it may help with making Ella's ear less sensitive.

Oh dear, poor Ella!! Many ear-healing vines coming your way!
This must be rough on you too, Tamara. HUGS!

So sorry on Ella's ears. I would ask as Sienne suggested. Applying pressure makes such a difference. Pain relief Neosporin is good too. I use that on Mannie. I will send easier pokie vines to them. Her ears will heal in time too.
Good numbers for Ella today. Surf well Ella!
I hope your day is a good one.

Hi guys .. well thats a nice amps .. maybe just a food spike at +1? So sorry to hear about ella's ears .. applying pressure does seem to make a difference .. not to hard of course, but just a little might make a difference .. I won't be around tomorrow so have a great weekend!

Thank you for all your advice and healing vines for her ears :-D I have passed the info on to my parentals.
The left one looked pretty awful with a big purple bruise so I told them to lay off of it for a while. Paws crossed that all will be well while we are gone.

See you in two weeks!

Tamara

Not only do I hold Gracies ear for a few minutes where I poked but I hold it with a damp, cold cloth. Ni bought a package of baby washcloths. After I poke, I press down firmly on the poke spot with the damp, clod cloth. She's never had bruises.

Have fun! Miss you already :-D
