I don't think Rusty is getting enough duration with his shot on the zero line! We may try it without twisting out the last bit of insulin that seems to be there. He had a pretty good day, resting and sleeping. His breathing sounds a bit better. He seems to like the new food: Rawz 95% Chicken and Chicken Liver. I went back to the holistic petfood store in Lake Placid and bought 3 more cans. We'll take them to camp with us tomorrow. Hopefully he will continue to like it (anti-jinx).

Today was a busy day of running around doing errands preparatory to leaving for a week at camp. We are leading a paddle on Monday and will view the eclipse (partial here) from the water. I hope the weather is good.

bbl. Going downstairs to hold Rusty's bowl and watch "The Manchurian Candidate" (the original film). Relevant?

Good luck with that fine dosing. Don't envy you that. I am glad his breathing sounds better. And I am saying nuttin' about no new fuds!

Eclipse on the water sounds cool! We did the last lunar eclipse that way. We get about 86% coverage here - how about you?

I think we get about 65%, but would have to check.

Turning in now. Rusty's breathing isn't sounding very good tonight. It's not his lungs; it's his throat.

Next condo will be from camp.

Hope Rusty's feeling better each day.

I've seen Rawz in the two local indie pet supply stores. Does Rusty like it?

Your upcoming camp time sounds like just the ticket during these late summer days.

Watched the Manchurian Candidate last night, too. TCM rocks.

Sending more feel better happy appy vines for Rusty. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

So far he loves it! This morning he rejected his other choices! I've only tried the chicken so far, but also have a can of the turkey. Yesterday I got a few more cans, but not enough to last the week at camp, so he'll have to eat other foods.

I'd forgotten how good The Manchurian Candidate is. Terrific acting all around.

Thanks for Rusty's rawz review! On Monday I went the indie store where I'd seen it but I forgot that they're closed on Monday's . I'll try again next week.

Yes, Manchurian Candidate is one of those films that, for me, never ceases to be compelling, both in its making, why Sinatra pulled it from distribution for so many years, the actors, the correlations that, at the time, rang of eras past with forebodings (history forgotten..., Heinz 57 and so on).

On another note, Spunky (who was found as a stray in a NYC park some years ago and the reason why she wound up on the tbd list at one of their high kill shelters), was with me while I was watching the film. She was non plussed until the lake in the park scene, then became riveted to the scene. When the scene passed, she relaxed again.
