We woke up to an AMPS of 69. I went ahead and shot the 3.00u. I will keep close tabs on Morgaine to make sure she doesn't go lower. So glad she waited until the family left to surprise me with her lowest number thus far. She had a 10% carb meal with her shot and a bit extra to help that number not go lower. Now the day begins.

WHOOT!! Nice shootin! When Zoe starts low like that, she usually stays nice and green...no big drops. "Shoot low to stay low" is the sayin' :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

A little nervous here but she is doing fine. Will check her in a few minutes. I hesitated and then said do it! I know I have you all and I have the tools I need plus the understanding of it all so what the heck. Yesterday was such a high blue day in the AM so this really surprised me.

I was thinking that myself and looking at her SS, she has done that before. I am glad I have just held this dose for as long as I have and glad her little ears got a break yeasterday. Be back shortly with her number.

WAY TO GO!!!!

Yes...pls stay on top of this. I would suggest a +.5 if you haven't passed it yet.

Without a +10 or +11, you don't know if you shot a dropping number. If you did, as low as this number is, she could keep dropping although Morgaine responds to the carbs a little better than Grace. Since you haven't shot low yet, we don't know what she'll do....she could stay flat, she could get a food spike and then come down, or if she's like Grace, she'll drop and then onset and boom :lol: :lol: :lol: I'm thinking the latter is just my girl and not other cats so hopefully you'll see a nice food spike and then a nice slow onset.

She is at 99 now at +1 and I think she is fine now. I will check her again at +2. She is pretty consistent and flat. I do want to stay up one night and test through the night to see where she goes after +4 or +6. For now she is on the rise a bit and that is good.

Thanks Sienne! I think it is more like I have this disease and know what to do and I have all of you too! But I will take the BOS label too! :smile:

I must admit, I have looked at Gracie's SS many, many times and can't figure it out. So no wonder you test as you do. I am one to test myself every 2 hours and in between when things are not steady. I do think humans respond in their own way as well. Just glad Morgaine is a little steadier than I am or there would be 2 of us to watch closely and one of us has to keep her wits about her. :lol:

I have decided to give Morgaine more calories. She has lost enough weight and I think she is quite svelte now. The vet said she needed to lose 1-2 lbs but I am thinking she is perfect now. Will weigh her again today or tomorrow. She thinks the scale is a comfy seat to rest on and she often just plops herself on it and takes a nap. It is a baby scale! :lol:

+2 at 111 and I think she is going to be flat for a while. I feed her at +3.
