Good morning! LT starts the day in the black after last night's FS. I do think if we had started with a cat rather than a dog diabetic that maybe we would be doing better with shots. My dog's been diabetic for almost 3 years and we can count on under 2 hands the times we've given FSs. A cat's skin is so much more pliable.

Anyways, we hope everyone has a good day with their kitties.

Quick question. Is there to be some concern in going down a 150 points in 2 hours. I am excited that the insulin is working. Should I test again in 0.5 hour to make sure it's still not dropping at such a rapid rate?

I think this is good news, and I am surprised to see the lowest at +8.
I look forward to seeing LT get back on track soon.
Are you feeling wiped out Suzanne?

@Tina Marie and Jan , how thoughtful of you to ask. Yes, I'm a little tired these days. Our 15 yo diabetic dog Tucker has been having some issue in the wee hours of the morning, so we aren't getting as much sleep as we would like. However, we love them all, and do what it takes to help keep them healthy. We are hoping to have another good shot tonight so we can see what LT is doing after a good 2 cycles. I'm actually hoping to get some nighttime testing done. I sure hope we don't have a big bounce - LT really likes the trampoline.

When I learned you had a diabetic dog too, and knew lots about D in dogs, then a new diagnosis with your cat, I felt a lot of compassion. I've long loved both dogs and cats (and donkeys) btw. We have donkeys and cows in the pasture behind our back yard. You mentioned needing sleep for your own health, and I figured you must be beat!

Anytime that +2 is lower than the PS, you need to plan on getting more tests in. It's kind of like your "early warning" that LT is planning on dropping into possibly unsafe numbers.

I'd get a +3 and go ahead and give him a couple of teaspoons of his low carb food and try to slow down how much he's dropping.

I Just fed a couple of teaspoons of his LC and will test again at +4. I suppose I need to get some +10 and +11 tests in order to see what he's doing at the end of he cycle. I thought I was safe injecting at a 238 :(.

OK LT....that's about enough.....slow it down mister

Time to jump on your surfboard and show 'em how it's done!
