Happy Sunday LL

Quick question for the LL people. Why all of a sudden would Leo start having grass pukes every morning? He's been eating a ton of grass every morning then puking it up, both of my parents have investigated the pukus only to find spit and grass, and no food. He usually comes in afterwards to eat, so he can't be feeling too sick. His appy has been good so far this week, and I hope pancreatitis isn't bothering him anymore.

When I came to work on Thursday my dad called as soon as our plane landed to tell me Leo had thrown up. Of course we panicked and called the vet who told my dad to watch him and make sure he was ok. He's been getting Pepcid twice a day.

My sister is visiting my parents and showed up last night. Apparently Leo was very happy to see her, purring and loving her up, he even slept with her last night! What a little traitor!

Any help with the pukus issue would be greatly appreciated.

Does Leo get anything for hairballs? Neko occasionally gets grass pukus and it's sometimes a sign of a hairball. She loves vaseline. Strange cat, but it seems to help.

Shame on Leo sleeping with your sister. :o Was this the one who went to Fort Collins with you? Leo looks like he is doing really well and keeping his DGPa hopping with testing. Nice reducies!

KT does that with his grass when he's working thru a hairball too...the rest of the time he eats same grass, same amount and no puddles....

Leo! Why you do dat? Dat not ur bed! U iz silly...

HUGS Tracy - pass some on to DGP and DGM too!

What about butter? Am I mistaken or have I read that butter can be used for hairballs?

Thanks ladies for suggesting hairballs, it never even crossed my mind that's what could be bothering him.

We have used olive oil, just a couple drops, when one of ours is having hairball issues. Turnup eats plants and pukes them up when she has a hairball as well. Nice yellow surf for Leo today. Hope tbp is going well and you have a nice night Tracy!

Hi Tracy,

Stu used to eat grass in order to induce vomiting to get out a hairball, too. Rusty doesn't eat grass, but does get occasional hairballs. We use NaturVet. He loves it and we give it as a treat, 1/2 teaspoonful every day. It helps the hair pass out through the poop.

Leo's numbers look good: nice and flat so far today. Nice that your sister could visit him. And your folks are doing a splendid job caring for him while you are in the field.

Have a good week,

Ella & Rusty
