She's still sick. So wet congested it's hard for her to eat - she sounds "slurpy". It was tough listening to the noises she made while sleeping next to my head...

She did eat nearly 1 Tbsp snack around + 8.75. And I did get her to eat 1 3/4 Tbsp (or a little more) Wellness for breakfast, so that's not bad. She is drinking a lot (she always drinks a lot, but she's at the water bowl often - even though not that much water is disappearing). It might feel good to drink. I did give her some squids last night in the hopes she'd feel better - not sure if it worked, but it definitely didn't make things worse, as she does seem a little better this morning than last night.

I just wish she'd get better...

I'm going to call the vet today - maybe from work depending on how quickly I can get out of the house. I don't know if our vet is in today or not.

Do you have a veterinary unniversity around where you live? Maybe a larger hospital with more experts and more specialists and more eyes could help solve the problem. I hope she feels better and better, today. Poor baby, give her a hug for me.

Poor little kasha. Good idea that Dyana had there. Can't hurt to get more eyes to look at her, as they say, two heads are better than one. Maybe someone else will see something the first one didn't see.
I hope Ms. Kasha feels better soon, Krys.

The nearest veterinary university is 3 hours away. That's not happening.

Not to mention - I spent my entire savings on the cats this year. I have no emergency fund left. So... we're stuck with what we have. Although, what we have is pretty good - maybe my girl just isn't meant to get better.

My vet isn't in today - so instead of going to another vet, I'm waiting till tomorrow. She did eat pretty well this morning, so I'm taking that as a good sign. And she gets a dose of A/B tonight (every 3 days) so maybe that will help. She wasn't snorting or snoring very much this morning, but you can still tell her nasal passages are blocked up.

I'm depressed, so I'm going to share a "duh!" moment I had this morning to lift the mood... I cleaned out the litter boxes after the morning post and there were a LOT of pee balls. They even used the "overflow" box that no one ever uses. And someone peed outside one of the boxes (just overshot the box and hit the floor - they were still in the litter box when it happened, you could tell). I thought - wow - that hasn't happened in a long time. Maybe I was wrong that Kasha isn't just drinking frequently - she might be drinking a lot too - what could that mean? There was nearly double the amount in the litter boxes!

And then I remembered. I fell asleep last night without cleaning the litter boxes. So - duh, of course there was double the amount. Of course they used the overflow box. And of course, someone peed over the edge of a box while trying to find a clean spot - that was MY fault, not theirs. Bad mama bean. Way to work myself up.

I hope Kasha starts feeling better soon. That sounds familiar with the litter boxes when I had two kitties, especially with my boy kitty. How is Blue doing? Take care.

Blue is doing great. He wants to be out on the downstairs front porch all the time, but since I have to lock the house when I leave, he has to settle for the stairwell or the upstairs front porch (which apparently isn't as good). The other day I pointed to the stairs when he was out on the down porch and he actually went into the stairwell and RAN up the stairs as fast as he could. He ran with his body just touching the wall on the left side, so I think that helped his balance a bit. It was cute.

How's Maggie doing over there at the falls? Blue told me to tell her "hi" if I heard from you.

Poor Kasha. I hope she feels better soon! I wonder if there's some natural allergy remedy or decongestant you could try?

Oh how funny! I was just imagining Blue running up the steps listening to his Bean. Blue sounds like he's getting around great. Now we just have to get Kasha feeling better. Maggie is doing great at the Falls and loves it and can't wait until Kasha and more kitties join her. She has a big welcome mat waiting for everyone. Maggie says "hi" to Blue and can't wait to see him at the next party which should be soon. Take care.

Ok - she ate about 1 7/8 Tbsp dinner without me forcing her. That's decent. There was still some food left from breakfast when I got home (including some shredded chicken, surprisingly). However, her shredded chicken snack had been eaten up. She's mucus-y and congested (whistling a little) but not making the scary noises she made last night when I got home from work. In a little bit, I'll be giving her a nice big dose of A/B, so maybe that will help.

these numbers are really good, now if only we can wave a magic wand to help her congestion.
LOL I've had many of those duh moments.
