The numbers aren't much better today than yesterday, although he's surfing mid to high blue instead of mid yellow. We went back to the OV for a recheck, and the corneal ulcer is starting to heal - he said it's about 20% better. That's not as good as he'd like it to be, but FD kitties, like diabetic people, heal more slowly. The pressure in the eye was higher than it was the other day, and he is concerned about that, especially since he'll be gone for 10 days starting Thursday. He sent home yet another eye drop, and we're to go back tomorrow to have the pressure checked again. He said this drop should make a difference fairly quickly, and he wants to know before he goes if it's working or not. He doesn't want Cinco to go 10 days with high pressure. Not sure what he'll do if it's not better, but we'll think positively here.
Cinco is VERY tired of eye drops and is very resistant to having them put in. With the cone on, it's twice as hard. The doctor was adamant that the cone stays on. He wasn't happy about my taking it off for t/s/f, but I assured him Cinco remains under control and close scrutiny the entire time. Needless to say, Cinco isn't happy about the cone, either, so I have one majorly grumpy cat on my hands. He did eat a good breakfast this morning, which is fortunate since eating with that collar on is next to impossible for him. He's such a klutz anyway, since he went blind, and you put that thing on him and he's practically immobilized. Poor baby.
Sasha has been a lazy cat all day, lounging on the bed. It was pretty cool last night, so I switched her back to the fleece vest (plus it covers her neck better and I caught her scratching at it  ). I left the vest on today - it's lovely and cool out and in the house with the windows open. She ate well, in spurts. Gave her the last of the AB and left a message for Dr. P to ask if she wanted me to get a refill (probably should have asked that sooner  ). She hasn't called back.
Almost time to get going on dinner. Hope all our LL kitties and beans are having a good day. Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
I'm still thinking of Lyresa and her DH as they mourn dear KT. Sending extra vines to J.D. & Dyana and Zener & Liz & Anne. Continuing vines and prayers to Amy's DF.
