Today is very difficult. Ravan had another seizure. It's been 6 months since the last one. I was sure the CBD Oil had stopped them for good. But I was wrong.
Peggy Sue has not come out from under her blanket since last night & she will not swallow anything. If I try to syringe feed her it just runs out of her mouth.

It feels the more I ask for help, for a small miracle, the more goes wrong.

Do you know what is causing Ravan's seizures?

No the vet said it could just be his age . To find out, he'd need a lot of tests. I've had many cats all my life & never had the problems this bunch is having. I've had quite a few live to be over 20 yrs , even a few 23 & 24 yrs old. None had diabetes or seizures.

I'm just wiped out with all this. I want to help them so much but don't really know what else I can do.

So sorry Joy... what a bad day! :(
Hope Ravan is OK now and as Paula said, if it's been 6 months the CBD is probably helping !!
As for little Peggy Sue, it's probably the side effects from the chemo ! Do you have a follow-up visit to see how her mouth is ? If she stopped eating, her mouth could be sore! Is she taking pain meds?
Hoping and thinking of you all :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Do you have a follow-up visit to see how her mouth is

Peggy Sue is supposed to get the Chemo shots every Tuesday for 4 weeks. The shots are given directly into the tumor to try to shrink it. I'm not sure if the Chemo is making her not eat or if it's the tumor pushing in to her throat.
She doesn't even swallow her saliva it just constantly runs out of her mouth. She finally ate a little at 5 pm & she went outside. I've been trying to give her supplements but it just runs out of her mouth she won't swallow it. Now when I try to pet her she moves away from me. I do not want that!

Once again I don't know if I should continue to put her thru the procedure? It's the anesthesia that wipes her out for 48 hours after. Last time I held her in a blanket & walked around with her at the vets for 2 hours till she mostly woke up from the anesthesia. It's my understanding that animals
don't die from the procedure ,it's from the anesthesia! ( people too! )

Peggy Sue doesn't seem to be in pain. I know the CBD oil helps with that. I'm not one to give narcotics, like Bupe , unless I really think she needs it. I feel they get addicted to the Bupe & then you can't Stop giving it.

"The buprenorphine is considered a narcotic because opioids and narcotics are the same things. Buprenex (buprenorphine) is a potent narcotic, and like all drugs of this class is is associated with dependence.
Buprenorphine in cats, both in-hospital and for at-home therapy. ... causes sedation, decreased appetite and constipation.

I try not to give myself or my animals Pharmaceuticals!

I have been giving my drooler, Jessie, CBD for her arthritis and she has had a couple of seizures. I was hoping the CBD had taken care of hers too as it had been about a year since she had one, but she had a pretty bad one about 2 weeks ago.

Is Peggy Sue grooming herself? There is a product called Nutri-Cal I get from my vet. It is very high in calories and vitamins. You can put a bit on top of a front paw and let them lick it off. I’ve had good luck with it when I’ve had a kitty not eating.

Prayers for Peggy Sue and Ravan!
