Happy Caturday LL,

Shasta and I got up for a poke, a shot, and some breakfast...and then promptly went back to bed! Set the alarm for +2 poke...and went back to bed. I decided I shouldn't got back to sleep after her +3, but now it's raining and I want to go back to sleep!!!

Shasta's appy has been pretty good this morning and she's been pretty snuggly. She's sitting on the back of the couch behind my head, watching "Three's Company" re-runs and reading her condo to make sure I don't write anything mean about her!!! :-D

Ok, off to check her +4.5. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50

I think Shasta needs a bit of a LC snack while she's watching TV. Hopefully, a bit of food will bump her up on to a surfboard.

FWIW, with a drop like that by +2, it's telling you that it's likely to be a busy cycle. Feeding a bit when you see a drop can help to slow things down.

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50; +5=58

She's such a grazer! I freshened up her food at +2, but I don't think she ate any; just snuggled with me, instead. She did eat some at +3 and I fed her some fresh food at +4. I think she knows she's supposed to be in the greens, so she tries to get there quickly to make me happy. I've asked her to slow down, but she's just a momma pleaser! :-D

Small surf in the greens.

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50; +5=58

I was watching for that next number.
Nice.
I'd still watch her today since Sienne said that drop in beginning indicated an active cycle.

We like the safe Green numbers.

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50; +5=58

She's typically an "early peaker" (nadir ~ ±4) and she usually doesn't surf for very long, but today seems to be a different story because she's been surfing in the greens for a few hours! Maybe it was all the cuddling we did this morning! tee-hee!

+6=82  (still going - won't last much longer)

p.s. I feel like I need to leave a note in my house explaining to the police/CSI why there are random drops of blood around my house! "Sorry officer, my cat likes to shake her head and fling her blood everywhere when I poke her ear to test her BG! I promise I haven't been killing people in my own house!"

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50; +5=58

wow, that almost looks likes one of Rupert's curves!!!! silly Shasta, don't be so dramatic, don't you know Rupert won't give up his diving crown that easily! hopefully Shasta will surf the rest of the day now!

Re: 8/18 Shasta AMPS=240; +2=158; +3=68; +4=50; +5=58; +9=20

  Rupert can keep his diving crown!!! These dives give me too many heart flutters...and I'm not talking about the good, romantic heart flutters! :-D

I didn't figure she would stay low for very long...and I was right!

+9=201

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234;

YAY! She finally pooped! (none yesterday  ) However, there was evidence of the carpet scootin' butt dance. Please tell me there is another reason for butt scootin' besides anal sac problems. I'm not sure I can take her back to the vet's for another sac squishing...without multiple deaths. Any other explanations?! Please!

Also, is it normal when I sometimes touch her nose area or sometimes rub her ear that she has involuntary leg spasms? Similar type effect to human knee reflex when the doctor hits our knee just below the knee cap.

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234;

Zener has the leg spasms with certain kinds of ear rubbin too. But with his cerebellar hypoplasia, I would be cautious about labeling any movement of is as "normal". Yay for poo! I hope it's not the anal glands... Nice to see those greens, Shasta.

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234; +1=244

Awww, Zener! I'm sure your movements are as cute as they come! ;-)

In typical Shasta fashion, she only ate a little bit of her dinner, so her +1 is food spike, all the way. NOW, we have the free fall into +2 (146).
ohmygod_smile SHASTA, LEARN TO EASE DOWN THE ROAD!

I just gave her some more 6% and some tempting 4% all sprinkled with PureBites Turkey dust. She ate a good portion of it, so let's see if it'll help her BG in time!

Good thing I got a few naps this morning...lots like one of those nights! :-x

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234; +1=244; +2=146; +3=106; +4=97

Well, I don't think I'll have to worry about Shasta going too low tonight. Just tried "expressing" her anal sacs...by myself...don't recommend.

UGH!

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234; +1=244; +2=146; +3=106; +4=97

well hey, so much action today.
I had company so I missed all the events today.
I'm glad you didn't join the below 32 club .

I have the blood droplet problem too. I have ivory curtains behind the couch and the one closest to Shadow's tower has droplets
all over it.
Guess I have to wash my curtains.....
And I have a halogen reading lamp over her so I can see. The little glass plate that covers it is speckled.

Maybe we should get an ultraviolet light and see if the whole room is spotted. :-D

Re: 8/18 Shasta PMPS=234; +1=244; +2=146; +3=106; +4=97

Yes, by myself. If anyone else were near, I probably would have died. I was actually surprised that she didn't try to bite me. She did catch me a few times with her claws as she tried to get away...can't say as I blame her! But I'm now worried about her. Don't know what "normal" excretion looks like, etc. and I'm afraid to keep researching because I'll talk myself into a frenzy thinking that there are more things wrong with her...or maybe there are!?! ohmygod_smile

And yes, I am crazy!!!!

Rhiannon - luckily, my couch is black, my chair is blood red and the blankets can all be washed!!!! I did find a few drops of blood on the yellow wall, but was able to wash that off!!!!
