With TR, any time you skip a shot, give a fur shot, change a dose, etc., the shot clock starts over. You have 2 more cycles before you can make a dose adjustment.

Methyl B-12 takes much longer to work. Think a couple of months vs a few weeks. It can help to remember that B-vitamins are water soluble so whatever doesn't get absorbed is going to be out of Neill's system in a short period of time (think hours). As a result, it takes some time before you see results.

Thank you Sienna.
Regarding dosing... that’s what I thought... & b 12 takes weeks often months to show :-|
How often is good for me to be testing at minimum?

Hi Krystina. By tomorrow morning you can increase. As Sienne said, the clock starts over when there is NS or a FS. By the way, I am curious why you skipped the morning 8/14/ .

With TR, the minimum amount of testing is your pre-shot test and one additional test each cycle. Most of us test a lot more. What also factors in is what you learn about your cat's patterns. Not all cat's have their nadir at +6. In the beginning of this adventure, you want to get enough tests in to understand when onset and nadir fall. While in general, onset is around +2 and nadir at +6, this is not the case for every cat. Gabby could onset at +1 and nadir at +3, except for those days when she didn't. (In other words, nadirs can and do change.) There really isn't a one size fits all pattern. Of course, you also need to take the realistic limitations of your schedule into account. There are a lot of us who would have preferred to stay home with our kitties and manage their FD. Unfortunately, Gabby refused to work and someone had to earn enough money to pay for her insulin and strips!

Thank you very much, Sienne.
I am fortunate (for Nelli) that I’m self employed and my Store/Shop is minures away from our home- my business is struggling and growing (make sense?!?), demanding long hours from me.
I don’t know when her onset is or her nadir fall. I get what you are saying.
Let me ask you, can you “tell” anything yet by looking at my SS? Based upon my testing pattern, recommend addional test times to me?

Not on purpose did I skip 8/14. I (deeply) over slept. I was “spent” from what my life, in all areas, is throwing at me. This is in the past and I am focused on her future.
I am happy with the looks of her SS- It looks like we are on the way to stabilizing her FD?
The neuropathy is wearing her out... It’s gotten much worse over the past week+.
I had had her on Antinol, 4-5 gel caps a day. When she began insulin I asked her vet if it would continue to work- if I should keep giving it to her. He told me not until diabetes gets under control.
It occurred to me just today that the “neuropathy” progression is part her arthritis no longer being treated. As of today I have started the Antinol back... and now I pray more.

Oh, I get it! I wasn't criticizing. I just didn't know why you didn't shoot.

How much B-12 are you giving her. I have read that some give a tablet twice a day to kick start. It's water soluble so what the body can't use will be urinated away.

Did not mean (if did :-\) to sound curt... your question was valid :).
I am giving her about 350m 2X daily... I also have (dang me took off!), gotten her back on Antinol (Antinol.com), it too is water soluble- spoke with company regarding giving her more gel caps than recommend two a day... green light :).
It is very expensive- $35. for 30. Giving her four a day comes out to about one weeks supply.
N.E.L.L.I is worth all my coins if “it” helps her feel better :bighug:,

I get that completely!!! Hope the neuropathy starts to get better ASAP. I don't know if this is what is going on or not, but in homeopathy when someone starts a program to help a certain ailment, they can go into what is called a "healing crisis" which means they get worse before they get better. Just stick with what you are doing and between that and getting into better normal BG numbers, she will get there. :bighug:
