What a great day for Mannie. It was so nice not to see a big spike @ +10/11. I am still a bit uncertain what caused it... food? Mannie just being Mannie? Maybe he just needed time to settle into this new dose... he never has been one to adjust to dose changes quickly, for the long term. We may get great results on the first day or two.... but long term he seems to need time to really get into a dose. It was great to come home yesterday from taking DGS on a lake hike to find Mannie at a 67. :mrgreen: :shock: I wonder how low he went.... :roll: :shock: Mannie - never a dull moment - you are such fun, YES!, you are! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand.... although it is a rather uneventful morning. :shock: The kitty choir was once again down to one member: BJ carried the burden of ensuring bean wakefulness. Success, and thank you kitty choir singer BJ. :-D And WOW: one again no whacking! :o :o Although Mannie was so close.... he had that look. I guess BJ didn't feel like taking on "the paw" this morning. :lol: :lol: We had a great test feed shoot, with so many purrs. Sometimes I think this is my favorite time with Mannie, just one on one, especially when he purrs, and the bean doesn't blow the test and we have to start over. :lol: :razz: :razz: which of course, never happens, right? :roll: :roll: Mannie has discovered that DGS is being fed solids now, and that there is a bowl of turkey or chicken amongst those fuds.... YUM! I had turned to grab something for DGS and out of the blue comes the nanner King: jumps up on the table :shock: , kitty radar finds the fuds bowl :o , and down the hatch in a matter of seconds :roll: :lol: . I can see the thought process: "I share my nanners. you share your fuds". That bowl of turkey didn't stand a chance...

Today we are back on DGS sitting duties through Friday... As it is every week, I really hope I can visit condos, but know that in reality it is next to impossible. Do know though that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids. Think GREEN kitties. I hope that maybe Mannie will give DGS and I a permission slip this morning so that we can go on a short travel hike, or maybe just to the shore. :cool: :-D Paws crossed!! he came through yesterday, maybe to day too! :-D :-D

Hey kitties!! WOW on yesterday... such a grand time with our picnic at the beach to remember our friends... it was really the bestest ever. Woot on Gracie's pool party, the green lagoon, and Willie's midnight kitty croquet. I dunno how we can top that today?!?! Hmmmmm....been a while for the dune buggy's... what'd'ya guys think? ~~ Mannie

And OT: here are some photos of the lake that I took Nicholas to yesterday - nice small easy to hike alpine mountain lake. What a great time: sunny skies, happy DGS, crystal clear lake with jumping fish, warm, gentle summer breezes... FUN!

What a great day for Mannie yesterday! Funny about the DGS fuds. That will be interesting. Guess it's low carb for DGS too now huh? Nice of Mannie to spare BJ the paw again this morning, especially since BJ is taking on the kitty singing load all alone.

What great pics from yesterday! I love DGS's hat and what beautiful eyes he has. He is way cute. You are a lucky gma! Especially since you get to spend time with him every week. Life can't get much better for either of you.

Hi Michelle, too funny with Mannie eating the bf fuds! I guess now you will have to place two bowls on the table and have Nicholas and Mannie have breffifs together! :lol: That was so nice to see no spike at the end of the am cycle, so Mannie must be settling into this dose, anti-jynx. Beautiful pictures, as always, of your hike at the Alpine mountain lake, and Nicholas looks so adorable there with that cute hat taking it all in every time. Mannie is starting out on a nice AMPS, too, and I hope he will give that permission slip again for a hike.

Hi Mannie, that was a great time last night with the picnic, Gracie's pool party and Willie's croquet party. Dune buggy sounds like fun. We haven't done it in a while. Yeah, bring some of that good bf fuds, too, Maggie

Nice, nice cycles for Mannie yesterday.....looks like he is settling in to this dose. Too funny on the fuds....they have the most amazing food radar! Zoe LOVES beef....stopped at Arbys the other day and she couldn't get close enough to me when I got home, I gave her part of the roast beef and she wanted MORE. :shock: ;-) :-D I'm gonna have to start buying 2 sandwiches! Pictures are amazing....and DGS just gets cuter!!

A really nice report for Mannie the Bananni king! Mannie certainly is lucky that your DGS is willing to share his fuds with him ;-). Your pictures are just beautiful, Michelle, beautiful and breathtaking! You certainly have the eye for a photo opportunity. Nicholas just looks like such a natural in that picture...he is sooooo cute!!! I kind of had to enlarge it to see if he was photoshopped into the picture :lol: :lol: JK! I wanna live where you do...it's so beautiful!

I thought we had a new kitty on the board and then I realized you just decided to anagram Mannie's name!!!

I think Mannie may REALLY start liking the DGS if it means free turkey or chicken just lying around for a quick snack!!!

And, as always, awesome pictures. Your grandson is so pinchable!!!!

That's still a very nice AMPS for you. Hopefully, he'll come down a bit for you today, and perhaps surf in day away in the blues some more.

Shssesh am I messed up today, I started this hours ago and got distracted again. I haven't even gotten Tess's condo up, not that it is one to look forward to today. :roll:

Hi everybody!! Thanks for the visit while I was out playing/hiking with DGS. :-D We had a grand time - hiked one of the old abandoned RR lines that has been converted to a hiking trail. nice! Darn thing runs all the way across the western half of the state. obviously we didn't do it all.... :lol: :lol: DGS was more excited about the lake we stopped to visit before heading on home. he just loves the water.

so... we ahd a 188 at +9.5, a 242 at pmps, and are hoping for great ting tonight! :cool: :-D

Hi Ann - I am sure you are right on the fuds... his nose can smell turkey a mile away - now he knows it's in that tiny jar. he wasted no time raiding the bowl. :lol: :lol: ah heck.... it's OK on the distractions...there are days when that is the way it is here too. But Tess's condo???? Mannie says he needs to slap you with a wet noodle... all day long: where is Tess, where is tess, where is tess. :lol: :lol: :lol: I told him noodle slapping was not acceptable.... Beans get busy.

Hi Melissa - yeah - the baby fuds was funny - he knew he was busted, and went into overdrive to eat it all before I could grab the bowl. he succeeded... :lol: I guess so on all future DGS fuds: LOW CARB, since he insists on sharing with Mannie. Too funny! -- and thanks on the photos, and the outdoor adventures - it is fun for me, he enjoys it, so a win win situation. and that hat! My DD found that at old navy I think - it suits the kid, it think.

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - yep - that was really funny - he moved so fast - I didn't think he had it in him. :lol: :lol: yeah, I can see the scene: Mannie's spot, Nicholas's spot... bowls filled with baby fuds. OH HAHA! Yep, I think he may be settling into this dose. He's up a little tonight, but well... as alwyas... we shall see what he decides to do... -- And YAY! permission slip given for another hike. I liked yesterday's better - no lake today. but no complaints.

Hi Sherry - i hope so too on the dose settling. -- I have to laugh at the Arby's story! OMG - we used to go there all the time, and would have to bring home and extra beef for the kitties. how silly is that? :lol: :lol: :lol: their radar was incredible, and would not leave us alone until they got some.... and thanks on the photos - sure is a ton of fun!

What beautiful pictures of the alpine lake and that intrepid grandson! Michelle, you're going to have to invest in two bowls: one for Nicholas's breakfast and the other for Mannie's. Each can have his own spot at the table.

p.s. I heard on the radio today about a new word "board" game called "Bananas". It's a fast-paced type of Scrabble and sounds like fun. There is no board, just tiles shaped like bananas and everyone adds words at the same time. Sound like something our kitties might like? I'm going to try to find out more about it.
