What is MMR?
Marshmellow root?

Here is where we discussed it a couple days ago.

I am using it instead of SEB - SEB seemed to raise Gizmo's BG so I switched. We (me and Gizmo) both like it much, much better. Same restrictions apply (no meds/supplements within 2 hours of giving) and it is prepared the same way - 1/2 cap in hot water to make slurry and add to food (I put it in his PS meals). Gizmo has been "regular" for a while now - and no BG increases.

+3=45
Fed some HC food, waiting to retest.
The earned reduction takes her from a drop to nothing! :woot::eek::) How often do I test during OTL trial? 0, +3, +6, +9? Anything else I need to know/do?
I'm excited, happy, nervous and scared.

Wow congratulations!!!
I should know this but it's been a while since Boomer went OTJ. I believe you test once a day at what would normally be shot time. If the number is higher, feed and test in 2 hours; if the pancreas is working the number should be lower.

During an OTJ trial, you only test at your usual AMBG and PMBG times if they both are green. If blue, you wait 3 hours and test again to see if the number comes down.

Have you looked at the post on Earning Reductions and Starting OTJ Trials? Maggie seems a little bluer than most kitties that start OTJ trials. Our goal is a strong remission.
So even though she had a BG below 50, you would recommend continuing on a drop? Thank you Wendy for taking the time to read my question!

What carb foods are you feeding now? One option is to bump the carbs up a little bit, so she can continue on the 1 drop dose a little longer. If you can get her in solid greens for longer, it might be better for a stronger remission.

I'm feeding LC, Fancy Feasts pate and Friskies pate.
