Here we go again.

Thanks Joanna, I think I do understand it, I just lose my nerve when the time comes.

I did shoot the 1.2u, I'm pretty sure I can get a mid cycle test.

Edited to add: I retested 20 minutes later and got a rising #, that's why I shot the 1.2u.

ummmmm, what is that +11 doing there? confused_cat ??? don't ya wish we could hook them up to a glucometer all day long and just take a look at it from time to time to see what the heck happens?
Like the +3 tho.

I wasn't able to get a mid cycle test like I thought. Funny when I'm pretty sure I will be able to I can't but when I'm not sure if I can, I can.

So tonight is early shot night, his +11 was 272 so I went ahead and shot the 1.2u. Then panicked a little when I realized it was an hour and a half early and the 272 might have been a food spike. Yikes.

His +3 is 193 so I'm not sure what he is up to now in his efforts to keep me on my toes.

OMG Lori, I was thinking that same thing today. Hooking up some kind of chip to their ears so we could just see where they are at any given moment. Wouldn't that be awesome.

yes robin, his latest #'s are a puzzeler, (is that a word?) now he's got us biting our nails again. darn that harley, he'll be the death of me yet! @-)

And yet he looks so angelic here purring in his sleep, all the while dreaming up what antics he will have instore for us tomorrow.

ahhh yes, that angelic look. i know it so well. my tom is the closest thing to an angel i've ever known. i suppose your is too. we have to remember it's the dire beasties that are freaking us out and not the sweet furballs of love.

Dire beasties just gave me a +4 of 118. He's gonna see a green tonight, hope that doesn't throw us off tommorow.

It might be a long night.
 
ack, robin, i hate to say it but have you thought that perhaps the f1.2 on 175 gave him to steep a low and the +11 was a rebound and then shot into....going d

well even if...he tops out at +5 or +6 so he's have to lose a whole lotta points to hit the danger zone. don't panic and do anything unless he dips to 40 ok, especially at his +6 becuase then if you high carb him it will be a bummer tomorow. 40 is not hypo. remember altho we don't like it in LL they hit 40 all the time just to get a dose crease. I'll stay up with you if you want.

they actually do make a continuous monitoring system that a few have used in cats - I looked into it once when I was dreading home testing - unfortunately it only goes for like 3 days, they need minor surgery if I recall to get the monitor in place, then they have a meter either strapped to them, or it has to always be w/in a certain # of feet, and if THAT's not enough to discourage anyone, you have to have it calibrated by a blood test from the vets 2x in the 1st 24 hours or whatever.... so... what's the point right?
 
I wasn't thinking of anything that complicated, something more George Jeston like.

A chip on their ear and when you scratch their chins they tilt their head up and their bg shows up on the chip.

Or something like that light up plastic clip thingy they put on your finger at the dr's office to check you oxygen level.

Why not? It could happen.
