Yesterday's Condo

Gabby is continuing to find "new" spots. She spent the early part of last evening sleeping on either the sofa or a living room chair. She finally came to bed and was all cuddles and purrs this morning. After a bath in the dining room, she has planted herself in a basket that is in/under a bench in my bedroom. This is another relatively Gizmo-proof location. Gizmo has participated in a rousing game of fetch this morning and is currently trying to figure out where Gabby got to.

Must be something in the air .. I couldn't find twix for the life of me yesterday ... had the phone in hand ready to call 911 when low and behold she strolls out from behind the bed looking like miss innocent .. she NEVER goes behind the bed! Anyways, looks like gabby is starting the day at a low yellow, so today could be the day for those greens to start showing up!!

Thank you all for suggesting green. Gabby was listening. Of course, I need to leave for tbp in an hour or so and now my stomach is in a knot.

Sienne have you ever thought about getting another playmate for Gizmo?? just a thought something I suggest for my cat buyers who have older cats and usually have a younger cat driving the older one batty and then they look for a younger playmate anyway great +2 for Gabby :-D

Oh Gabby - those greens are great, but did you have to be in such a rush to get there?!?!? You're stressing out your mama bean!

Kasha did a mini-dive this AM as well...

Here's to some safe surfing in the higher greens today...

Lisa - one of my dearest friends has been suggesting the same thing. Gizmo's breeder just had another litter. I don't know if another cat would put Gabby over the edge, though. Gizmo really does adore Gabby. She's fine with him as long as he isn't pestering her -- they headbutt and mutually groom. His activity level is just much higher than hers and he wants her rough house with him.

Good luck Sienne - my gut would be in a knot too. I still remember the morning when Mannie had a high 300, his +2 was a 95 :shock: and i had to be at TBP, no way around it. omg... spent all day worrying... he was fine, knew to eat, we survived.

yowza gabby! Talk about extreme sky diving ... you need to just sit here and relax for awhile your mommabean is at tbp! I'll throw in my 2 cents about a new kitty .. I say go for it .. cause with all the funny stories you have now, can you imagine putting another kitty in the mix? :lol:

Jeez, everyone wanted green for Gabby, but she didn't have to get on the fast track to get there! Slow down so your momma bean can go to work and not worry so much!

ps. APA was great this year! (i should say, rather, San Diego was FUN!!!)

Its always hard to tell but just with my breeding experience (this is my breed I am referring too of course they are so active) and it always amazed me when someone would lose a cat at a old age but they still have a old cat and they get a aby kitten from somewhere else and I cannot tell you how many times I have sold a kitten to someone who has bought a aby kitten already and has a older aby and just has to have another aby kitten since the aby is driving the old aby crazy. This scenario is why I mentioned it to you it was just soooo familiar to me. But of course Gizmo will slow down too in time as he gets older. Would not want to make things worse if you think Gabby would hate another addition since you know Gabby better then I :-D of course abys are so active they pretty much have to have a playmate they are so dog like and will hound another cat to play which is why a older aby and a aby kitten are usually not a good match and I try to discourage it when I am asked. Ok I rambling....

So did you leave out HC food for Gabby? I'm just wondering so that if I can't check Blackie during the day, what you do if they are starting out low? I sure hope she's surfing while you're gone.

I was in a rush to get out the door at +3 and had a cancellation so rushed home and back. Yes, a ton of food -- some MC. I left some in front of where Gabby was sleeping. That was gone. The food in the feeder wasn't touched. I suspect if Gabby is snoozing, nothing wakes her. The good news is that she's in the blues.

Gabby wanted in on all the MC she heard everyone else was getting. Great numbers ths morning Gabby, timing , not so much. :roll:

Nice numbers for Gabby! She and Willow seem to have a knack for diving at crazy times. I personally think it's a trick to get MC and HC.
