Look at these incredible results! I know it doesn't NECESSARELY mean that she will go into remission... but I still believe she could!!
The last 2 weeks have been very encouraging. We have shaved he dosage 3 times and both preshots and nadirs are incredibly stable and GREEN !
Fingers crossed that our little Farine will reach a second honeymoon! Both Alain and Farine deserve vacations from this very time consuming routine!
:)

Right now, I would not shave the dose further. I don't guess what the numbers are if you haven't tested and shaving too soon may cause the reduction to not succeed. Remember, if Farine is in normal (50 - 120) numbers for a week, you can decrease the dose. This manner of dose reduction is a great way to give Farine's pancreas as much support for as long as you can as a means of insuring that her pancreas is working the way it should.

Wow!! A possible 2nd Honeymoon!!! That is awesome.
Hoot is trying for his second too, but far from there
I know how exciting it is, but keep you patience pants on as long as you need for a strong and long Honeymoon :-D
Good Luck to you guys!! Hoot and I are :RAHCAT for you dancing_cat

Hi Sienne!

I really want to do things right, but the last info I got from another post, was that whenever I got results that ranged between 39 and 50, I HAD to at least shave the dose ( or wait for these results to show 3 times and reduce 0.25u from the dosage).
If you tell me that I should not reduce the dosage anymore when i see these results, then I'm confused!!

Kim:

The information about dose reductions is correct. However, there's a note on Farine's spreadsheet:
Alain & Farine said:
Farine ate just before "+2" and "+3" of the first cycle (so results might have been slightly lower), so again, we will shave the next dose.
I was responding to this comment. Without really knowing what the numbers are, if this were my cat, I wouldn't rely on "guessing" whether the numbers were in dose reduction range.

Ok I get the message.

But there's one thing though.... Her results keep on going down! :) She was 47 at +3 today. I guess it shows that reducing the dose since yesterday wasn't such a bad idea.

Could you guys carefully look at the latest tests and tell us if we should shave the dose tonight? Or if should we keep the same dosage for another cycle or two before deciding if it needs to be reduced further more?

Thanks a lot for your help!

I'm on the fence about a dose reduction. Alain has been taking very small decreases. Typically, you don't want to take dose reductions too close together since it may be a matter of the depot not having caught up with the dose reduction. However, the reductions have been tiny. I think this is a decision Alain needs to make since he's the one that knows Farine best.
