She's eating less,only baby food. It looks like she has trouble swallowing. I'm debating if I should put her thru another round of the Chemo shots. It took days till she recouped from the anesthesia.
Hoping the shots into the tumor will shrink it.I have no idea how long it takes to see results. Neither does my vet. This is the first time he's done this. ( I had no idea how dangerous using chemo is)

I had called Oncologist & none of them have even heard of this procedure. They refused to try it. I'm very grateful my Vet was willing to do it. I felt it was less invasive than all the testing, biopsy ,Radiation & chemo into the vein that the Oncologist planned on doing.

Not sure what to do now.The Anesthesia wipes her out. Supposed to do the shots every week for 4 weeks.

Poor Peggy Sue! I’m glad she is at least eating baby food. I would imagine the chemo knocks her for a loop.

How long ago did she get the injection?

I’m so guilty of killing yellow jackets and wasps. After Bubba went into shock about 6-7 years ago from being stung by yellow jackets, everyone I see in my house is not safe. I feel badly , but I do it or Bubba.

Joy, you have done so much for the beautiful Peggy Sue, and I'm sending love and best wishes for you all.

I love rescuing little things like lizards and tiny snakes the cats bring in from their outdoor enclosure. I even rescued a mouse once - was a great picture with 5 cats wrapped around a chair! I'll pick spiders up with a paper towel and toss them outside. A couple weeks ago, I killed a scorpion that was in a dog's dish . . . and felt bad about it. The dog had just put her nose in the dish to check it out, and I chose to save the dog from an ER visit!! Sometimes it's hard to save all, but I do share your sentiments.
Oops - I don't save fire ants either.

This is a whole bunch of injections into the tumor. The chemo (Carboplatin) is mixed into purified sesame seed oil & injected slowly into the tumor every few centimeters. It's in oil to slow down the absorption rate in the tumor
and it helps not to be absorbed too much into the blood stream. Supposed to be safer for her kidneys & liver. I think the Anesthesia wiped her out, not so much the chemo! I found this on an old Vet web site. From what I read it said it had a good response in shrinking the tumor.

I called a few oncologists & they said they never heard of it & refused to do it. I didn't want to put Peggy Sue thru all the tests,biopsy & then radiation & chemo in her vein. My vet agreed to try it.

So far she was doing OK eating pretty good & going outside. Last night she didn't want to eat & just sleep. Ate very little today. I'm not sure she's going to get the second round of shots next Tuesday. She really doesn't feel good today. No food since this morning. She doesn't want to swallow, has ropes of saliva constantly running out of her mouth.

I'm sure everyone has said this once in their life,I need a small miracle for my girl!

I'm glad I don't have those kinda critters here in Illinois! Not sure what I'd do. At least you try & do the best you can! :):bighug:

Not that I know of. My vet has never done Chemo before so he doesn't know much about what to expect either. The shots are supposed to be given each week for 4 weeks. ( more if needed)

If you read what I wrote above, Peggy Sue is not feeling good today at all.

Thank you for the healing vines for her, she sure needs them today!:bighug:
