Swedish yesterday

Zener is continuing his extended Swedish vacation (in the yellows and blues). Anne is getting a little impatient as her favorite color is GREEN but she's hopeful about this cycle. Zener did some yard patrol this morning, which included at least one pee on the dirt pile. :lol: :lol: I am expecting some special tomatoes there next year.

Tomorrow is National Black Cat Appreciation Day!

OT: I'm going to test again in a bit then I'm off to visit my friend who has chickens and goats so I can harvest some manure. Anything to break up that clay. It's a very exciting day. :lol: :lol:

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie and Jupiter, Lyresa (has the creeping crud and infected tooth), Bern's Tashie. Congrats to Sammy, OTJ today! And paws crossed for Ollie's trial, he's looking great this morning! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Happy Friday, LL!

Hi and how is everything in ZenerLand and TillieLand? I see Zener has a nice slide and came thru for Anne on the green. :mrgreen: Oh my on the harvesting of manure for the clay! Let me know when Zener and Tillie have yard patrol therel!

You guys are going to have spectacular tomatoes next year :lol: ! Do you compost? We have 3 compost bins, which Edward tends daily. In the winter we freeze compostables in the garage in a garbage can and add them to the bins when the ground thaws in the spring.

That is a wonderful slide today, Z Man! Most impressive.

We will appreciate black cats tomorrow (and every day). I didn't know there was a special day. Alice was almost all black; Stu was tuxedo.
They were fine kitties.

Just because the beans are out of managing and shooting low number practice AND in honor of the start of the school year, Zener is giving us a pop quiz at shot time. :shock: :mrgreen: Stalling in progress, and now adding a touch of food since he dropped below 50.

Zener is up to 80 so we are going to shoot. That is food influenced so we will get a +1 and +2 at least. That's a 30 min stall.

@Ella - We do compost. We have two bins and I just throw stuff in there all year. Sometimes I add some dirt and sometimes I stir it up a bit. Seems to work ok. Rusty, come on over anytime for mouse hunting. Tillie is waiting for you.

@Josie - Thanks for the vote of confidence. We are out of practice!

@Ann - Zener was eyeing the fresh dirt tonight but I was still shoveling so he went to another spot. I'm sure it won't be long. :lol: :lol:

@Carla - The manure smelled good, it reminded me of the county fair.

We are all very sad about Tashie. Thinking of Bern and family.

Beautiful lagoon lounging today. Hopefully your night doesn't have too much drama. So glad you like the aroma of the manure. I can just picture you harvesting.LOL. Those tomatoes are gonna be great. Did you eat the Early Girl tomato yet?

Wonderful to have local manure you can pickup. My parents have neighbours with horses, but not sure I want that in my car for the long drive. For now, I'll stick to Neko additions in my tomato soil. Maybe why they do so well in that one spot. :? Hope your tomatoes this year are coming along nicely. Mine have finally started ripening. Yumm!

Zener is getting a few of his favorite honey laced treats and is SO happy! Beans are out of practice with this below 50 action. :shock:


@Amy & TrixieCat - maybe we didn't stall long enough. I thought that jump up to 80 was the start of the b-word. Silly bean, we still think we have some power of prediction about Zener's numbers. :lol:

@Doreen & PeePee - we lost our way to the lagoon recently. Beans are still disoriented. Zener, as usual, takes it all in stride. :mrgreen: It indeed looks like some drama tonight. No Early Girl tomatoes yet, just small Juliette tomatoes, slightly larger than cherry tomatoes and very tasty.

@Wendy & Neko - Ha, take that! Challenge accepted and returned. - Zener
Liz will have to give you the manure contributor details. So far, no kitty contributions of the fertilizer variety. :lol: We've gotten about 4 or 5 tomatoes, Liz calls them the 20 USD tomatoes.

Alrighty LL - the Friday night PJ party is at our house. Zener says come on over.

We're in our PJs and we'll be right over for the pajama party! The Juliette tomatoes sound great - the weather has been very cool here in Ohio and mine aren't ripening!
