Yesterday's Condo

Willie is on a tear this morning. He decided it was time for us to get up... at 4:15am. :shock: :shock: :shock: Little dude, so not cool. And it wasn't a single try... no, Willie worked on me for 2 hrs. Ended up giving his shot 15 minutes late, but should be okay. Of course, my "I must go to bed early" pledge was broken by my introduction to Angry Birds, so suffice to say, I'm a bit sleepy today.

Working from home today. I think these are Willie's favorite days, because unlike weekends, I'm home all day. Work has already been interrupted when, 5 minutes into his first trip outside, he decided to bring in a VERY LOUD and angry cicada. While it is nice to see him interested in a "toy" as he hasn't been as playful of late, uhhhhh, no, kid. He was full of indignation when I let the cicada go outside, and he's now back out there, no doubt stalking another one.

We head to the vet at 5:15 for the fancy pee pee test (yes. that is a medical term.). I'm sure with how today is going, the tale of woe in the car will be one of death and destruction. I actually contemplated walking over there, but probably better to drive.

Special thoughts for Jan and Ruth as they grieve.

What would a trip to the vet be, if the drama of the car ride weren't there? Very good luck wishes for Willie and his mama bean.

ah yes, crazy cats. punkin howls like he's being killed when we're on the way to the vet, then he's silent on the way home. he knows. those crazy cats - they are calculating little buggers! :lol:

ewww on the cicada! better than a half-dead bird being brought inside, i suppose!

That cracked me up all the way around this morning. I can see Willie through all of his adventures. But mama, it's a cicada just for you. See how you are. Don't even like his presents that he lovingly picks out for you.

Angry Birds makes me angry. I got to like level 4 lickity split, then nothing. I have since deleted the app from my phone before it got thrown through a window or something. :lol:

Hey Willie! You going to Gracie's? I got some mojitos but they don't have the funny stuff in em like our beans drink that makes them all crazzzyyyy. Can't wait! Tarragon

Willie continues to look good! Nice steady, sweet surf! I hate those early wake up calls.. they are persistent & we must get up :lol:
Baby is not vocal at all.. even when starving.. Sadi though ohmygod_smile thank you for asking about her.. she is doing furbaby fabulous! How are you, your house, etc?
I have seen some of the cutest cats for adoption lately & just wish I could get another one :-D

Hope the vet went well today. Thanks for the CRF info. I'll be reading up on that. Willie has very pretty numbers for a boy!
 
A great day for Willie, surfing the 70s. He spent much of the day outdoors, which made me quite happy. He was very polite and didn't interrupt my conference call while I had the phone on speaker. Trip to the vet was a success... they were able to get a urine sample. Woo hoo! We're getting the protein/creatinine ratio done but are going to wait on the ERD test... the vet said she has had a couple instances where it came back normal but it was blatantly obvious that the cat was in late stages of renal failure, so while she understands and appreciates the science behind it, she isn't sure that it is worth the money spent. I left the room during the poking. He was sure to tell me all about it on the way home (nevermind the tale of woe on the way there!).

Pokes, feeds, shots all with purrs tonight. He really is a good boy.

Looks like I'z hedded to Gracie's for drinks, den mobile KTSS on de way to mah place for fountain crashin and kitty croquet? Miss Tess, maybe we'z needs sum new rewls!! --Willie

Sounds like pee pee perfection! Sending good thoughts for good test results.

"Angry Birds"? I'm still stuck on "Canfield" solitaire (aka "Demon").

Willie and Rusty will have to compare notes on bug hunting. So far Rusty is specializing in grasshoppers.

what a fun condo! Nannie left hours ago - muttering about kitty croquet, pool parties and fountain raids, and KTSS and too many things. I wonder what hour I should expect him.

Nice numbers for Willie - I hope all went well with the vet.
