OOH! Do I see a full three cycles of a steady downward flow with no crazy bouncing??? (anti-jinx)

Here's to transitioning to yellow and blue instead of pink and yellow!! ~O) (and downward from there... I've learned to accept baby steps)

Tink rather enjoyed munching on a cucumber yesterday - and it seemed to actually help with his appetite for a bit. He also loves zucchini - and with the overabundance of that I have, I may let him have a chunk here and there. It doesn't appear to alter his BGs at all. It's nearly zero carb, low calorie, no fat and lots of water... so I dont see where it could hurt. With eating the cuke, I also did NOT catch him chewing the leaves off my coffee tree yesterday (which he's been doing a LOT lately)... maybe he needs some "green" in his diet for some reason?? Can't imagine coffee leaves are very good for him - but he and another cat have been doing that for awhile and it doesn't seem to hurt them (the plant doesn't look very good though!). Cuke/zuke have gotta be a healthier alternative if it satisfies his fetish.

I've never heard of a kitty eating a cucumber, or a zucchini, either. Coffee leaves? Ok. I can say that it is safe to give your cat catnip as it's only an herb. I've given Blackie some, and it doesn't raise her BGs at all.

Baby steps is all you can do with FD. Just remember that everything will happen in time... And you'll more than likely be experimenting with different things to see what works, and what doesn't... What raises BGs, and what doesn't, etc. Also, when you do dose adjustments, you may or may not see the BGs raise, but if they do, just hang in there, and they'll flatten out over a few days, give or take another day or 2. Every cat is different (ECID). Good luck, and hang in there. Try not to get too discouraged. :-D

Less pink, more yellow is good. :-D Hey Tink, how about trying out the blue floor next?

My kitties are on a raw diet, and the manufacturer includes a small amount of juiced veggies for vitamins and to simulate what would be in the prey's stomach. And yes, zucchini is one of the ingredients in all of the proteins they get. There is also a small bit of fiber which would be good for them too. Have you ever grown cat grass for Tink? I have one cat who loves his indoor grass, Neko ignores it and has to eat grass from outside.

I've thought about it... but eating leaves frequently results in vomit around here... so I'm reluctant to encourage the behavior. But perhaps some cat grass would be good. It may be that it's just WHAT leaves they're eating (ie. all the ones they aren't supposed to) that's causing the vomit.

He devoured a decent sized chunk of zucchini a little bit ago and is now lounging all sprawled out in the sunny windowsill. :) It really does seem to satisfy his appetite.

Darn it! My anti jinx didn't work. :( We're pink for PMPS. I think we had a little too much zucchini.
