Happy Caturday!

WCR: All Ps in place. Got good snuggles last night and this morning. She was VERY vocal this morning. Guess she was hungry. Good appy this morning and this evening. We got a nice little snuggle nap this afternoon in a Mannie beam. Now she's hiding out in her carrier. I gave her 1/2 tablet of Potassium this morning, but not this evening. Wasn't sure what to think of last night's fright. (read below) Am I just making more out of her "sound" sleep or is it cause for alarm?

LAST NIGHT UPDATE: Shasta almost gave me a heart attack last night. She was asleep on the ottoman and I tried to get her attention by calling her name and whistling at her...no response. Finally, I got up and picked her up and she was absolutely limp...unresponsive. :o  I quickly drew her to me with a tiny shake (as my heart dropped into my toes.) Finally, she lightly meowed at me as if to say "Mom, I was sound asleep. Why did you wake me?! Is there a fire?" Needless to say, I kept my eye on her the rest of the night. :YMSIGH:

Hope everyone has had a great Caturday! Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Sheesh! That's pretty scary alright. I've never had that happen. One time I woke Buster and he seemed really out of it for a few minutes and then came around, but it didn't take much to wake him. Hopefully someone will have some insight. Looks like you're headed down the right escalater tonight!

Oh my, that would have freaked me out too!! Glad she woke up ok :-D Hopefully she was just in a very sound sleep I-)
Have a good night Deborah

Good evening Tara & Pam,

Yeah, that was not what I wanted my Friday night highlight to be, but luckily she woke up. For a brief moment, I went into mental panic mode and started thinking...if she's dead, what do I do with her at 10:30 on a Friday night? Leave her where she is? Put her in her carrier and leave her until the morning? Put her in the freezer? I guess you can say that I'm not prepared for any of that.

Her mood has been very snarky tonight. I tried playing with her and she just wanted to attack me instead of play. Now, she's grumpily sitting on the infamous ottoman. nailbite_smile I should get a little water gun and every time I'm worried, I'll shoot her with water. Just kidding. If I think she's pissed at me now, that won't help my cause! Thanks for checking in on us tonight.

Hi Deborah,
Wow, what a nice slide for Shasta's pmps cycle, almost a green and probably is with meter variance. Oh my, that would be a scare the way you described what happened with waking up Shasta. There were a couple of times when Maggie would be in a deep sleep, and it would be time for a med, poke, or something. When I would nudge her to wake up, she would not wake up easily. I'd have to say her name and give another harder nudge. Then her eyes would grow wide, like where am I, and what the heck, can't you see I was sleeping. Glad Shasta is okay. It just sounds like she was in a very deep sleep.

Thanks so much for your visit to Maggie's hime again condo and what you said about us and also for all your support while she was here as a sugar baby. I plan on watching Shasta's condo and visiting as this has become a family being here almost four years.

Deborah, I missed Shasta's condo yesterday. I'm sorry to hear she gave you such a scare. It does sound like she was in a deep sleep. I've noticed with some of my kitties that the older they get, the deeper they seem to sleep. Sometimes I have to look really hard to make sure they're still breathing and they wake up like where am I if I disturb them.
