Any hope for a midcycle test or two this week? I hate to see him sit in high #s, but I don't feel comfortable advising on dosing without more data. If you can't get more tests, I would consider going to a vet for the dreaded vet BG curve. I'm not 100% sure it's worth it since they can throw false #s from the stress, but on the other hand, one way or another it seems like you need some data to get him to better #s. You could also try posting on Health for input - if some of the more experienced folks were comfortable advising on dosage based on limited data, that would give me more confidence at least. I don't feel experienced enough (not sure if even more experience helps, but it might) to make many calls on it...

How is he doing overall - is he feeling ok-ish, or not really? Hope you are having a nice week. :)

Hi Peggy,

I agree with Joanna, a curve at the vet might give you some insight into how the insulin is working.

The numbers will be higher from vet stress but the insulin should work the same way, you'll be able to see how much of a drop he's getting at the given +#'s and then you can do the math.

You won't lose any more fingers and Mickey can be mad at the vet and not you.

It sounded like a good idea to me.

Robin
