Thinking of all the lovely people and cats on this board and wishing them well.

I swear this wonderful cat is becoming more of a pain. He's even growling back at the civvie instead of walking away. He has reclaimed a spot on the bed. I much prefer this to him not feeling great, but that feisty streak might be intensifying. It was almost impossible to get a test out of him this morning. So many attempted nips.

His number was 108 which is just under the threshold of testing again in a few hours I think? So I will let him be and poke him as best I can this evening? I hope he's not climbing back up and might start practicing injecting on an orange or something.

Thank you! I don't know why I thought under 110. Wishful thinking? Maybe I'll try wearing him out just before the test and hope it doesn't backfire.

I know I'm lucky to be dealing with some attitude rather than bounces or big drops.

I am not sure if I still use +3 when there is no insulin involved, but he is back in the green at 83. Hopefully there is a similar result this evening.

Yes, it is 3 hours after a meal. If his pancreas are working, they will produce insulin when he is fed and bring down his BG. If you get a PS above 99, feed and get a test at +3 to see if he is back in green (don't feed between PS +3).
