Hope everyone had a good weekend. I know there's a few of us here dealing with some troubling results and kitties. Was thinking of everyone all weekend

Binx had a surprising cycle yesterday, not sure if it's a good or bad sign - during the diarrhea incident his numbers dropped a bunch. Overall, his numbers seem to be holding mostly below 200 (anti-jinx).

We'll do more fluids today and go from there.

His urine culture did come back today as negative... which is I guess bittersweet? Numbers aren't spiking from an infection but I'm of course glad he doesn't have an infection.

Thinking I'll redo his labs Friday morning if I can, results should be pretty quick on blood work. I wish there was a Libre for renal values so I could just know where he's at!!

You should invent the Libre for renal uses. That’s an awesome idea

Binx is in my thoughts
I also repeated Mami’s kidney lab work and am waiting for the results...
And I’ll probably repeat them again in a few days, so your idea about the Libre is definitely an interesting one

How is Binx acting and behaving overall? How Binx is doing is as important as his numbers.

He’s still holding strong to his normal behaviours, only thing I’m trying to pay attention to are his back legs that still seem maybe a bit off. But he’s still jumping on and off my kitchen counter, so I’m not sure how much I should obsess over that.

Thanks for the link! I thought I’d read that page but it looks like I might’ve missed some stuff… like potential negatives and other methods for diagnosis. Also, the starting treatment without results (which I’d asked about but was worried for his appetite). A lot to digest, so going to read over it again in the morning.
