She has given shots to other animals before, but not a cat. I’ll be here to show her/watch her, but my fear is that I won’t be able to tell if it’s a fur shot…I guess the numbers tonight will tell us! George is usually cooperative for his shots, but very occasionally he likes to act crazy and embarrass me haha. I’m hoping she will be able to come over and practice a couple of times before we leave.Good luck with the sitter. Does he/she have experience with giving insulin shots?
It’s SO hard! I never even knew! He was the easiest cat before his diagnosis, but now everything is very complicated. I will feel so relieved if/when we are able to find someone who has the ability (and availability) to help out…will just seem a little more freeing to have a go-to person at least. We live on the West Coast and all of our family is on the East Coast, so we don’t really even have anyone around that we can teach for backup. So I’m really hoping this works out!Fingers crossed!
I used to travel a lot before Bandit's DX. Covit hit a few months after her DX and that put paid to travel anyway. I need to find someone to give shots so I can travel when things open up (don't know when that will be). It's hard to find petsitters here and even more difficult to get someone who can give shots.
Congrats on that reduction! FINALLY!Well definitely not a fur shot from the cat sitter! 49 at +2…wasn’t expecting that! Just fed a little HC.
I was beginning to wonder if he would ever actually go below 50 haha. He’s at 62 at +2.5 after a combo of HC and MC (and some more LC because he was pretty hungry). I’ll be curious to see where he goes from here, but happy to be going down to 1.5 in the morningCongrats on that reduction! FINALLY!
Just saw this and yes you can@Bandit's Mom George has stayed up for two hours on his own since HC/MC. Think it’s safe to go ahead and call it a night?
Thank you. GoodnightJust saw this and yes you can![]()
