Yesterday's Condo

Willie has been sharing the good news of his awesome numbers since last night, but the 4am wake-up call was a bit much! :lol: :lol: :lol: We had shot at +11.5 last night, but are back to our normal shot time this morning with a dosecrease to 0.75u. Bean is sleepy, so alarm is set for +1 and +2. Willie's not quite ready for btb cuddles yet, but if I know him, he'll be in here within 5-10 minutes.

The litterbox setup was a winner for capturing urine, except that the vet is closed today, so we will set it up tonight and hopefully will catch some first thing tomorrow morning so we can drop it off at the vet when they open.

and on cue... somebody is back and ready for cuddles!

With CRF do you guys monitor urine specific gravity often or is it mainly the other things you measure for protein, etc...?

My husband would kill me if he knew but I was able to do Maverick's USG at home with our saltwater aquarium refractometer. Its the exact same that the vet uses and it only cost $45 a couple years back. Just a heads up if this is helpful at all. It saved Maverick getting a urine draw at the vets office - she wanted to know if he was concentrating urine.

How did you do the Urine collection--Please let me know in my condo--Maybe you do something different than I am doing!!! The plastic bits didnt work!

Oh wow, we like the pretty greens today. Willie is doing great. Congrats on getting the pee sample. I'm curious, too, how you did it. Enjoy your btd and cuddles with Willie. Have a nice Sunday.

Great hootin' this morning there girl!!! And what a nice curve for Willie. Good luck on the reduction.

I make these little foil trays and as Gracie squats, I just slip it under her "hoo hoo" and there we go!!! Course it might be more difficult to get it under a little boy's "hoo hoo" :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Great cycle of all greens for Willie today... woo hoo! He's had outside time and, having had dinner and meds, is now lounging in the dining room.

Posted this in Moonie's condo too, but since Willie tends to pee in just one corner of the box, I cleared that corner of litter, santized it (God bless chlorox wipes!) and place a small, shallow plastic tray given to me by the vet in that corner. I then gently pushed the litter up around the container. Sure enough, he peed right in it!

Tonight, we're going to try out the Breeze litter system (Thanks, Ann!). On sale at Petsmart for $24.99 (with possible price matches at Walmart and Petco) and there's a $10 coupon out there as well. I posted details in Loose Lips.

Great numbers for Willie lately! Wow! He had quite the weekend.

Good luck on the pee catching. Luckily Tarragon alwaus has plenty at the vet and they are able to take a sample then.

impressive with the pee catching - what I would give to be able to do that... but with three cats and two boxes I never know who's is who's... :lol: :lol: :lol: I hear that Breeze works well.

Very very nice numbers for Willie - love all that green! Very nice shootin' this AM too - Willie is doing so well. Good luck with the new dose. GO WILLIE!
 
I thought I may have fur shot tonight, and is looking like that is the case. Grr! Hoping for a PS under 200 and a quick trek back to greens!
