Well, not quite as good as I am hoping for, but I guess this is still a good number? Anyone think the 139 is too high? I hope it's not too bad, and I certainly hope it does not get worse.

Also, recently, their feeding schedule has changed to this:

AM Meal: 1/6 can Friskies SD Turk & gib
+2 meal: 1/6 can Friskies SD Turk & gib
+6 snack: 1/8 can Friskies SD Ocean WF
+9 snack: Teaspoon of SD Ocean WF
PM Meal: 1/6 can Friskies SD Turk & gib
+2 meal: 1/6 can Friskies SD Turk & gib
+6 snack: 1/8 can Friskies SD Ocean WF
+9 snack: Teaspoon of SD Ocean WF **

Hopefully that is not overkill, however, I think it will not be possible once I start school and my new job. So I will have to figure something out.

Is there any possibility of testing 3 hours after those blue tests? It's good to see if he's bringing down the numbers on his own with food.

Hi Wendy, can you go back and look at the first post? I edited it to show the feeding schedule... which I am now realizing, throws off that +3 test opportunity after a blue... so any thoughts?

Good job spreading out the meals. Can you test at that +9 snack? You'll then have 3 hours after that to see what's happening. Maybe you'll need to bump the +9 snack up to 2 tsp. 139 by itself is not too high, as long as it's not part of a trend.

I can try. During the day, it is likely that there will be no one to test, and the daytime +3 snack may go away soon. Finally, everyone in the house has a job and I am still working with them on getting them to help me with testing.

If you can get a timed feeder your life is going to be easier. You might need 2 for both kitties - you have 1 besides Tyler, right?

If you move the +2 meal to +3 you could recheck the bgs at +3. What you are looking for is for the bgs to come down 3 hours after eating.

There are three cats in this household. Tyler & Marla have a roommate, Turd the cat. I will have to wait until I start my new job to get three timed feeders. My current job doesn't pay much...

Do the cats stay in different rooms? When I had Tiffany, Max would try to eat her food, even the lousy kidney diet food and I would have to feed them in separate rooms. Before the illnesses Tiffany would go after his food and make him switch dishes back and forth. So before you get 3 timed feeders I would think about the logistics of it. Your cats might be different though.

They all eat in different rooms, but both Tyler and Turd are males and will push Marla out of the way... I haven't bought them yet because I fear it will lead to someone eating more than they're supposed to
