Good luck on selling your dining set. I haven't posted anything on Craigslist but I know lots of people have had good luck with the site.

Craislist is a bit scary nailbite_smile I know that there are sketchy people trolling there with bad intentions when answering an ad. But there are also normal people who just want to buy stuff.

I wouldn't give away a new dining set for free silly! I'd just keep using it until there is interest. No rush to buy a new one. Besides your guys black friday is right around the corner and I bet you can get a better deal then on a new one.

Do you think $300 is resonable for a solid wood table and 4 chair set? I paid close to $600 for it, including the delivery fee. There's a few minor scratches and dings from normal use and those are barely noticable.

I've got a stupid summer cold and its made me miserable. I will get zero accomplished this weekend due to my cough and sore throat.

Awww  Hope you feel better soon  A co-worker of mine has had a nasty cold for the past week or so. Her frequent coughing caused germs to spread all over the place and has gotten other people sick

Leroy seems fine today. He ate breakfast without incident and he's doing his normal drive-the-bean-nuts thing

Is it normal for a cat sit or lie in the litter box? Emma does that a lot confused_cat She just sits or lies in there doing nothing. Her litter box habits are normal.

Usually not. They will do that if they are stressed and/or in pain. If it is a new behavior it may mean a trip to the vet. When was Emma's last bowel movement?

i've been wondering about laurie and mr tinkles as well. last she posted regularly she was taking care of newborn birdies, but that's been a couple of months at least.

i've seen pics of other cats sitting in a litter box - guess i'd wonder if it was used or not. if it was totally clean, i wouldn't worry much. if it was used, i'd wonder if something was wrong. cats are normally so clean that seems like it might mean something was up.

have you used a scratch cover on the table? you might be able to make it look like new with Howard's feed & wax (orange oil and beeswax) if they aren't too bad. that stuff is amazing & it smells fabulous! otherwise, Old English has stain in it that is pretty darned amazing for covering up scratches. i would think 50% of the new item price is a fair price for something that basically looks new. drop it from there if there's damage you can't cover up. if you're not in a hurry i'd just keep re-posting.

I was also wondering about Laurie and Mr. Tinkles.

And has anyone heard from Lauren, aka Squirrel? It's been a long time, but I know others see her on FB. I haven't gotten too deep into FB yet.
Edit: I posted this before reading Gracie's condo - there is an update on Lauren & Tommy on Gracie's condo!

Here's the update on Lauren (Squirrel) and Tommy:

I got a message from Lauren that all is fine there. Tommy is fine but has been a bit bouncy; her job is not what she had hoped; Ryleigh has crystals in her urine; her DFIL has not been well; and she and Mark usually go to her parents' house every week to help out her dad. So she is really overwhelmed right now but doing ok. She said she misses everyone and hopes to have time to check in sometime soon.

I know on the show with the cat whisperer guy (not his title... I just don't remember how he refers to himself!) on tlc, he indicated that a cat spending time in a litterbox for anything other than litterbox business is a sign that something is up either physically or emotionally. I'd probably get Emma checked out. Do you use feliways? You might want to look into something like that as well just in case there is a behavioral issue.

Speaking of litterboxes, got the Tidy Cats Breeze today. Big thanks to Ann for mentioning that she uses for Tess and the other furkids! If you're interested in trying it, Petsmart has it on sale this week for $24.99. Petco and possibly Walmart should price match with proof of price (I took pics and also had a receipt from Petsmart). Even better, you can get a coupon for $10 off here. There is also a coupon for $1 off a bag of pellets. While the coupon will say one per household, if you hit the back button and refresh, you can print a second set. I was going to get a second box from Petco (had a $5 off $25 coupon good only today) when they said they'd price match, but they only had one left and it was clearly a return. Maybe it was unused, but I wasn't about to buy a litter box that someone else's cat may have peed in. I'll either go back to the petsmart by me one night this week or there's one by work I can run to over lunch... it's nice to get out over lunch anyway!

I sprinkled a little Dr. Elsey's litter attract over the top, which hopefully will do the trick. I also have boxes with his old litter available in the basement and in the garage, but I'm hopeful we can transition him successfully. The SMART box system is a bit more than I want to spend, but I am intrigued by the idea of not having clay litter all over the house! I swear that kid tracks litter everywhere!!

She pooped sometime today while I was gone. There were two separate sets of poop in the box when I got home. Her litter box habits are always normal.

Emma and Leroy get along just fine. If Emma's not interested in playing or if Leroy is being too rough, she'll give him a couple whacks. She dosen't sit in the box all the time, just once in awhile. I had to move her out of the box last night so I could clean it. I kind of think she goes there to get away from Leroy's crazy antics

Do you think an AC session would help before I lug Emma off to the vet? I'll email Dr. B anyways to get his opinion but I doubt he would want to see her since she's otherwise has the 5 Ps.

I didn't think of that  But I'm wary of using chemical products because of Leroy. He gets into everything and that includes licking stuff @-) He's already been to the ER after getting sick from licking supposedly "pet safe" bathroom cleaner residue off the floor @-)

I think I'll do that  I'm really in no rush to buy that set I really like. I have a 20% off coupon for the furniture store that doesn't expire until October. And then stuff will be on sale for the holidays. I'm hoping the set doesn't get discontinued before then nailbite_smile
