GOOD MORNING!!!

After an exciting night...early morning...with Hershey seeing (35) he was reduced by .25u to his new dose of .4u. He is none the worse for wear, although he didn't understand why the Friskies stopped coming. :?

We decided not to try to go anywhere this morning, since we're dragging. Doug and Joseph are working on the Star Wars puzzle I bought and I'm starting to gather our stuff so there won't be so much to do tonight. I guess I overlooked the fact the puzzle is FOIL, so it's REALLY hard on the eyes! (OOPS!!!)

No news to report...oh, wait! Hershey apparently had one other early morning adventure. Sometime between 5 & 7 am, he jumped down into the sleeper sofa...you know, that small open area between the top of the frame the back of the couch? Yep - that's the one - and couldn't figure out how to get out. With much irritation at being awakened, Joseph helped him out. How scary!

Back to 'work' for me. We leave for the campus tour in ~2hours. Thanks for visiting us today and yesterday and the day before...And, many thanks to Carl and Jane for checking in with us when Hershey went low and staying with us until he was okay!

Hi guys .. congrats on the reduction! Sounds like where you are staying sure is a nice place .. I love the mountains, we honeymooned in the smokies .. I'm glad Joseph was able to get Hershey out of the couch .. Hershey, don't be such a stinker! Have a great day guys!

I second Carl's post! It is so stressful to go back to work, so Hershey is making sure you have no worries today. flip_cat Congrats on the reduction!

Gorgeous photo:-) Your mission is to go back there in about two months and take the same shot so we can all see the amazing fall colors! The biggest mountain I get to see is a sand dune:-)

I'm glad you all enjoyed your vacation, and know that you can take your kitties there again, next time.

Hi Libby, congrats on the reducie. I love the photo, and that sounds like the perfect getaway. Is that you and DH with Hershey and Oreo?

WOO HOO! A reducie - congrats! Quite the night you had. :shock:

Sorry for the bounce today, but I expect Hershey will clear it soon. No three day turn-around for him. :-D

Carl - I'd love to come back in two months; always wanted to come to the mountains to see the fall colors!! Jessica is holding Oreo and Doug is holding Hershey. Oreo is black and white and Hershey is all black. :-D

Hey, Angela - Thanks for the congrats and wishes for a short bounce. I'm hoping he likes the reduction and since we're going home tomorrow he's welcome to clear the bounce anytime... :smile:

Jane - Thanks for the kind words. The tour was nice, beautiful campus and Jessica loved it. She has two more years at the community college to decide where she wants to attend.

Hey, Dyana - Thanks, I hope he likes the decrease. After we rented the cabin, they had a problem with someone's kitty and have stopped renting to kitties. :sad: I think they should rent again to anyone they didn't have problems with. We'll see.

Hey, Roni - Woo-hoo, indeed, it'd be great if the reduce sticks! I snapped as many pictures of the kitties outside as I could until they said they'd had enough and started to squirm like they wanted down. They are good babies. Oreo has behaved much better than I expected!

Hey, Deborah - Thanks stopping by. It was a crazy night, another reminder to stay flexible! :smile: YES! Boo on the couch diving! That was more like something I would've expected from Oreo... :YMSIGH: The tour was interesting and gave Jessica a nice overview of the campus and college life here. We head for home tomorrow morning. It's nice to get away, but there's no place like home!

Hey, Sienne - Yes, changing insulins made SUCH a difference; kind of makes me feel bad he spent those first 5 months on anything else!

Can't believe I forgot, but yesterday was his 7-month anniversary on insulin - 2 months on Levemir. Maybe that's why he dropped last night - he was celebrating! :lol:

I knew it was Jessica and Doug (well I assumed that was Jessica since I'd seen your pic in your previous avatar), but I couldn't see any white on Oreo. Now that I look closely, I think I see a hint of white on the side of his neck but I thought it was just the lighting. I'd have to guess Joseph was standing to your left, because although Oreo is staring lovingly at the camera, Hershey seems to be paying attention to someone else. :smile:

Carl - Nope, Joseph was inside. Hershey is very much like my daddy and stubbornly refuses to look at the camera! :lol: Oreo has white on his neck, belly and one side of his whiskers is white...I think it's the right side. :-D
