8/14 Beast PMBG 66, Transition to wet Food tonight

Hi everyone,

Beast in now 2 days without her insulin. I am hoping this lasts. Her AMBG yesterday was 52, today a little higher but not much. I am going to begin her transition from Dry DM to Fancy Feast (I think) at PM feeding. She was full of spunk last night. She jumped from the couch to her scratch post, about 2 feet (she is a big, big girl, not easy at her size) and ran around the house.

Good morning, Kim! What a great WCR (Whole Cat Report) for Beast! I'm so glad she's feeling good and energetic :-D
I'm impressed with the jumping ~ not an easy feat for BigBeastieGirl!

That is such good news for Beast! You go, girl!!! Keeping paws & fingers crossed she keeps up the momentum & also likes the FF changeover......

Ugh.. Got busy this AM and spaced her 2 hour after feeding test. Did test now I guess I would call it +4 because it is 4 hours after her AMBG? ( well just short of 4 hours after, I got nervous about missing 2 hour so I did now) Going up more than yesterday :(

Thank you all for the support and well wishes. I keep telling myself to stop looking for trouble and relax, easier said than done. LOL
 
Started Beast on the Fancy Feast tonight, mixed one can of classic chicken feast with 1/8 cup of dry DM. She ate it all, no problem. I don't think I needed to use her regular DM as a buffer. My other kitties were trying to punk her for her food. Awww, I guess they will be changing to wet food also.
 
Good! Wet will be better for all of them. We switched our civie Tillie to wet and she is so much healthier now than on the dry.

I thought I should welcome you to LL before you and Beast head to the Falls! Great progress since you changed her diet. The change to wet should be even better for her.

Hi Marje and Gracie, thank you for the welcome. Keeping my hopes high that Beastie will make it to the falls.

Anne & Zener, My other Kitties are just going nuts over Beastie's treats. They wouldn't touch treats before..LOL

Beast want's to thank everyone (Josie/Ripley, Tigger's Friend, Squeaky/KT, Frosty, Rhiannon/Shadow, Anne/Zener and Marje/Gracie) again for the well wishes and is hoping for a good day of numbers again tomorrow :-D
