I remember when my BK had the highest dose in all of Lantus Land (it was before Lev came on the scene), up and up in dose we kept going. Still it seemed he was always swimming in a relentless sea of pink.

It was nearly 7 months before he saw his first green. It took 12u to accomplish that.

It was about a year before he tasted HC.

He was the first FDMB kitty to be tested and test positive. for IAA.

He was the last cat anyone thought would get regulated much less go OTJ.

After 21 months BK went OTJ, where he remained for the rest of his life (6.5 years)..

Hang in there and hang in here.

That is so wonderful that DCIN is paying for the testing. One less thing to worry about.

Amethyst, I know momma bean would love to see a yellow. Try your best to work the juice!

Thank you for your beautiful story I just want her to be well. She is only 4 and going thru way too much. DCIN is going to pay for the testing of IAA and Acromegaly. Did you change to Lev or just stay on Lantus??? Thank you for the support
Glad she will be tested for high dose conditions - good to know what you are dealing with. Lev was just coming on the scene back in our day. I was considering switching but then the IAA started to resolve so I saw no reason to change.

Hello Pam, thought I would drop in and see how you and Amethyst are doing. Sandy has great information on IAA, so glad she dropped in to give you some encouragement. :bighug:

Thank you for checking in!! This is all new and scary to me I want my little girl to get well!!! I am waiting for Dr Bonnie to call me back to set up an appointment to do the testing How is Marvin??

Pam, with Lantu focus on the lowest BG rather than the highests. 345 is the lowest in a while, so that is an improvement. You will eventually see that moving more and more in the right direction once we get closer to a dose that will work for her.
