Yesterday

Trix is feelin' fine-n-feisty this morning, ever so determined to catch MamaBean not paying attention to those kibblehead's! She's had a pretty gluttonous morning, even eating a fair amount of her first breffis from her plate on the floor all by herself! For her second breffis, she had several licks while I went to do something for a minute; while I was gone, she walked away from the plate. When she saw me come back, she jumped up to the ottoman and looked at me with big, expectant eyes: "C'mon, Mama, you didn't expect me to eat that without room service, did you??" I picked up the plate, held it for her, and she almost-but-not-quite CPCed it. Ah well...I guess we're still sort of making kitten steps towards independent eating, but the important thing is that she is eating, and eating well. Silly girl.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to hit many condos lately...I'm so overwhelmed by/caught up with researching stuff about my Dad - more for my own information than anything else, as I know he does his own fair share of research, too. So either I'm looking up all that sort of stuff, or I'm totally crashed. Tomorrow we go to Penn, and I guess next week things will really start moving forward and hopefully we'll learn to live with our "new normal".

As always, everyone here is in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Your support has helped me tremendously....

it is just so great to read that Trixie is doing so well, still OTJ, still Mr P does his thing. I love it that she hoped you would offer food service. Kinda cute.

Oh Trixie! You make me feel "normal" about my relationship with Shasta. Lately, she's been doing much of the same. When I walk out of the room, she waits for me to come back and cater to her every need! :roll: :lol: I love her that her appy is fab. Keep up the good work. I think Trixie just wants to make sure you don't forget your training. She worked so hard to get you to be an expert plate holder, and she doesn't want you to backslide! :lol:

Good to hear she is eating well, and thats so cute she wants you to hold the plate for her..we love spoiling them huh.. hey, whatever it takes to get the fud in them I think its good too that you are researching, I would be doing the same thing. Educating yourself about your dads condition empowers you to be able to ask questions and seek alternatives etc. Chin up...sending vines of strength and courage to you as you go forward and hoping for a good appointment at Penn.
