Mannie managed a nice blue surf last night - after what appears to have been a pink morning. Way to go Mannie! cat_pet_icon Yellow this morning - a 257 - I hope he can maintain this, find the blues again, ya know - a nice slow descent. You can do it big guy! uhhhhh - no pinks Mannie OK?

Lazy kitty on my hands this morning - lazy, but very affectionate. He's been content to lay on the floor and let the breezes blow on and ruffle what fur is left on his shaved belly. He did help me get ready this morning, purring while he watched. Breffis #1 and #2 consumed, membership in the clean plate club has been maintained. It should be warm here today - mid 80's with sun. No doubt Mannie will spend what time he can, out in the grass, working on his tan...

Have a great friday everyone! It is shopping day here (darn kitties are eating me out of house and home :shock: ), maybe a walk to the shore. Nothing like off the water sea breezes mixed with rays on sun. YAY!

Looking good in here....Mannie...I am so proud of you...look at those lovely numbers! SO much better than SOME kitties I know...

Been thinking about Stu so much...wanna go over to his place tomorrow?
I think we can make some chicken liver pate and L.I. Roast Duck with a
raw chicken/punpkin mousse and butter with plenty of cold fresh Glacier water in nice wine glasses....
He has to watch the salt intake and also the phosphorus. I am trying so hard to
find stuff to make. Do you think this sounds ok? I will ask his Mama first.
Can you think of anything else? do you think he will like it?
HELP!!! Oh Mannie, can you help me with this? Shadow is getting the water for
me. Can you think of anything else? I want to steer away from fish of any sort.
Quality protein and plenty of fluid...maybe some unsalted chicken broth? consomme.
yeah that's it...start out with a clear broth consomme....

I'm with you Joyce! walk is always better - and Mannie can go hunt for his dinner.... :lol: :lol: as if - not in his vocab! I will settle for the shopping, bag on the errands, and hit the shore. YES!

Hey Raja! I like it! I will be there. I think of Stu alot - he says he feels fine and that all is going along OK, but I still worry about my buddy. ooooo on the cold fresh glacier water. and the pate and the roast duck - excellent choice. great idea on the consomme! I know Stu like chicken alot so that would be a great idea. Fish is a no no, I agree. I was reading about how good pumpkin is supposed to be for kitties with his conditions and was thinking maybe a pumpkin cinnamon cake wood be good. what do you think? this is just so hard. There is salt and phosphorous in everything! I don't know how is bean does it. I will call you later and we can compare notes. ~~ Mannie

Hi Pat and Iorwen - not too bad so far for Mannie. So glad I didn't get "that bounce" after his blue surf last night. So nice not to wake up to pink! (Uhhhh Shadow? you too!, and down you go!)

191 @ PMPS - hooray!!: a blue pmps :-D

I have finally updated Mannie's labs, from his most recent visit to the vet on 8/11/2010. Results are in my signature, accessed through the link "Mannie's Labs". The results seem pretty consistent with his results from April 2010. What was high then remains high now: Albumin, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Lipase, Protein, Glucose (duh maybe on that one...) Results from 4.2010 and 8.2010 are both listed, with tabs for each category: CBC, Superchem etc... Could some one just take a peek and make sure you can access them through this link? I think I did it right - but ya know - sometimes things are challenging... and if anyone has an opinion on any of it, let me know - THANKS!

Wish I could see some of the beautiful places you go to Michelle--I'm a bird & nature lover!!

Hope everyone can make it over to Stu's tomorrow. Raja is cooking up a storm here. This will be so good if kitties can visit with him. Can you spread the word so everyone knows? I am trying but it's not easy to get to everyone.

Thanks Pat - and Roni! Blue is so cool isn't it... YAY - for once we are not pink at PS. I think Mannie heard that the pink floor was closed for renovations, and decided he had better go clean out his condo. :lol:

YES on Stu's tomorrow. Mannie has been diligently spreading the word. He wants everyone to come. Mannie has been glued to his cookbook, probably not as well as Raja, but he sure is trying. Keeps mumbling something about phosphorous... and then flips the page.

Hey Mannie, My bean learned today that hard-boiled whites of eggs, chopped up and added to regular LC protein-rich food, act like a phosphorus binder and cut out the effect of phosphorus. So you can chop up some egg whites for tomorrow. I'll supervise! Great PMPS, man! See you tomorrow. I can't wait to see everyone.

Stu! DUDE! Egg Whites. really ???? That is so cool - now you can still have some of the really good stuff to eat huh? You are awesome, and your bean too. Boy your bean had better buy a bunch of eggs... wow - I wonder what she will do with all the yolks? I will bring a bunch of them tomorrow, the whites that is, and you can show me how, OK? Sorry, just saw tat my first post never went through. Hooray to be off the pink floor. Thank you . Pat for closing it! keep an eye on Mannie , though. I think he is trying to sneak back. turn right back around young man and get back where you belong!!!

Your labs came up w/ no prob. I still beed to get Tess's up and get her January ones from the old (boo, hiss) vet! It hasn't helped that they really needed a new toner cartridge when they printed them up.

I need to catch up on all the other condos, which may be difficult since i rewarded myself wl a nice glass of pinot after all the chores were done. drinking24

What a nice day for Mannie today and glad that his lab results were good! Hope the kitties have fun cooking with Stu tomorrow!

Ann: NICE in the pinot! pinot... labs can wait... chores done... condos in a bit - good for you! priorities! Well glad the labs are accessible. It took me forever to get all that listed - doesn't help that most of it is a greek language, and typing foreign languages has never been my strong point. :lol: :shock: well at least now the base is there and I can build on it from here... good i think. and so agreed on Mannie - it remains yellow, but slowly creeping up. Mannie - listen to Ann - pink floor is closed. OK?

Thx Deb - hope Spot comes tomorrow too. Mannie says his spices are sorely needed!
