First of all, I'm working on fixing how Tootoo's profile link appears. Posted Q on tech board. In the meantime, had to shorten signature since wouldn't accept number of characters. I'll deal with these issues on tech board.

So, Tootoo's numbers are amazingly consistent if you look at his SS (first link in signature- I'll rename that too.) My concern now is that beginning tomorrow through Friday, I am gone all day again. You'll notice last week I did not shoot three of the four days I was gone. I'm not comfortable leaving him alone all day after an injection. I could do a very small amount and probably feel ok if the AMPS wasn't too low. He's doing well, and I want to keep this trend going, but it will be more difficult for the next few days.

Any input is appreciated as always.

Hi guys, don't think I've been to your condo before so welcome to lantus land from us! Numbers for tootoo are looking really nice! Keep up the good work guys, have a great day!

Welcome to LantusLand, I'm sorry you have to be here but it's a great place to get info and support for FD. It is scary to shoot and leave. Will Tootoo free feed? What time will you have to leave after the shot? What time will you get home? You are doing a super job testing. That is really important. :-D

Thank you all for your welcomes!

Liz, to answer your Q's:

He semi-free feeds. In the morning, I put Fancy Feast (sometimes Wellness) out for both my kitties - 3 cans. They eat most of it early on and any remaining is eaten through the day. Then in the evening, I put out 2 cans, then another sometime before bed. Some usually remains, which they nibble in the night.

I give injection at 7:30 a.m., then leave at about 7:50 a.m. I get home between 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. depending on traffic and give injection at 7:30 p.m.

So oftentimes I shoot, leave, return, test, feed, shoot. I'm often up in the night testing, especially since he's running lower now. And, as I mentioned, I'm not comfortable shooting at all in the a.m. (when I'm leaving) when his numbers are lower, as they've been.
