so +5 is 344 . i will also get a +7 today. do you think then that the correct dose IS 1.5. i brought him down to 1.25 because he went to 64 at nadir before. i know that it a good number but i was nervous that he went so low. If his +7 is still high would you say i should just go back to 1.5? and that those 64's are ok? I would feel more comfortable if he was a little higher at nadir but not 344 !!!!!
thanks
Nadine

Hello Nadine!I would stay with 1.25 for a week now that you lowered it. While 64 is low, it isn't life threatening. he may be dropping overnight and his liver kicks in the hormones to drive him back up and then he soars up. It can take up to 72 hours to clear a bounce but ECID(every cat is different). As time passes and his numbers come down, the liver realizes that the lower #s are normal and hopefully the bouncing stops or at least clears quicker. Without a test at pmps +5/6/7 you cant be sure if that's the case, but its highly possible. Hopefully he will settle in with the 1.25 soon.
Forgot to say, what a beauty he is!!

hi Laura
ok. thanks for the advice. i will stick with the 1.25 for a few more days then keep testing his nadir. i was so surprised by the high +5. today.

Yes, you definitely need to hold the 1.25 for a number of cycles before you can know what it's doing. Sunny is driving me crazy with her numbers, too, so I feel your pain!

I feel your pain. Calley is all over the place too. She went up and down twice in her curve today. :( I just don't get it. Sorry Tibbs' numbers are confusing too. I hope the numbers make more sense tomorrow.

For Sunny too :)
