Quick update: Simon is doing pretty well, mostly staying in the blues in the morning and then dipping down to the 60's and 70's at night. Should I be doing anything different with his dose? He has been on the 1 unit for quite a long time. I don't really want to increase because he has gone pretty low but his numbers during the day are higher.

He is eating well and purring and playing although i have got to get him started on some medicine for his arthritic legs. The pain from that may be the reason his numbers are a little higher, right? I have been a bad bean because I haven't been able to take care of my kitties like I would like this week. TBP is sucking all my energy out of me! I thought I wouldn't have to work this weekend, but no such luck. I am looking forward to one weekend without any plans, hopefully in the near future.

Sorry I haven't been able to visit condos -- I'll try to catch up with everyone this weekend.

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

I'm working this weekend too, sucks big time. I would love just one day totally to myself but I might as well wish to win the lottery, it's more likely to happen

Hope you manage to deal with Simon's athritis, if he's in pain I'm sure it's raising his #s. And I hope you manage some rest as well.

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

Hi, the morning's AMPS is still nice. It must be so hard with working; I can't begin to imagine how some of you do it, especially if there is no one else to help. Hang in there and bummer with the weekend work. I hope soon you get a weekend for yourself.

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

Hi guys .. no dosing advice here, but it's nice to see simon is doing well .. sorry to hear about all the work, hope you get that relaxing weekend soon!

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

Seems like a few folks have to work the weekend and a lot of us haven't had the time to visit condos. I hate it when life gets in the way of my plans! Try to have a good weekend despite working. Even though you think that you haven't been taking care of your kitties, I'm sure that you've done an awesome job. We all do more than the average "pet owner". After all, we're 'beans'. :-D

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

You are a wonderful bean! Know what you mean about no time with working, but Simon is doing great!! So, please feel better about it! Hugs from Us!

Re: 8/12 Simon AMPS 122

Work has been getting in the way for all of us lately - or so it seems. I second winning the lottery - bring it on!!

Simon is looking good, and no doubt you are taking care of both kitties beautifully. I hope you find more time for yourself soon!!!

Re: 8/12 Simon PMPS 128

I just made it home in time for Simon insulin! It is almost impossible to get away from work this week. I am so exhausted I overslept 2 days this week because I forgot to set my alarm. Thank goodness for kitty alarm clocks or I might not have ever have made it to work.

Iorwen, sorry you also have to work this weekend. Winning the lottery sure would make things easier. Everyone on LL should contribute $1.00 a week and play the lottery. Maybe we can win as a group and at least we might win enough to pay all our vet visits!

Thanks Natalia, Ann, Devon, Mary, Bev, Roni, and Trixie's bean for stopping by and giving me such positive and encouraging words. Y'all are the best!!

Hi Georgia

I'm so sorry TBP has been such a pain and you have to work this weekend. I know you have to be exhausted between Simon and Cleo...lots on your plate. Sending you extra hugs.

My only thought about you changing his dose is if he gets into green while you are at work and you don't know how low he goes. His numbers have been looking really nice lately. I hope someone will come along with some other thoughts on your question.

Take care...hope you get some rest.

Re: 8/12 Simon PMPS 128

Hello Georgia! Simon is looking so good. I'm so sorry about RBI. It is very difficult to juggle it all. Hope you get some rest. I've been thinking of you!

I so feel your pain. I'll be working tomorrow, too. It kinda seems neverending sometimes. I'm getting ready to start Champ on some Cosequin for his arthritis. His legs are getting wonkier. I just have to wait to make sure his tummy troubles are over before I put any new meds on top of it.

Good luck with everything!!! I'll be thinking about you and commiserating with you!!!
