Happy Friday, Everyone,

Rusty is starting off with a good number. We had a fine test, shot (OK, I think!), breakfast (2 sittings) and now a nap. He woke us up early this morning by taking a noisy and vigorous bath in the middle of the bed. The sun has just broken through the morning clouds and we'll go outside in a bit to tour the garden. This morning I think I'll do my 20-mile hilly route on my bike. And this afternoon: a trip to Plattsburgh for Rusty supplies. Everyone enjoy the day,
Thinking good thoughts and sending healing vines to Sara, Rocket, Champ, and all kitties and beans who can use them,

Ella

Hey Kitties: I hope we can catch a cloud to take us to Australia today for Cheekyface's OTJ party. Mannie says the bus can't ride on the water! Tomorrow is the Full Sturgeon Moon party at Camp Stu. Everyone invited!

Good start for Rusty today. (Somehow, I don't remember all of these fur shots with Stu!)

And btw, Gabby does play with Gizmo -- on her terms.

Re: 8/12 Rusty AMPS 123

Morning guys!! And YAY Rusty - off to a good start today. Looking for more green Rusty. :-D

Enjoy your bike ride today Ella - sounds like a good one. 20 hilly miles - kudos!

Had Shadow been around lately? When I read about the garden visits, I always think of Shadow - I hope he and Rusty are good friends by now. :-D

Rusty - DUDE! Australia today !! SWEET! Cloud will work, yes, and moonbeams too! I uhhhhh.... was worried about the bus thing.... We will do it! See you soon - much grillin' and stuff to do. And..... CAMP STU tomorrow! SWEET - another full moon. ~~ Mannie

That's right, Sienne: with Stu I hardly ever gave a fur shot. He was a short-hair and his skin was easy to pinch and easy to get the needle into (also, he never minded the shots and didn't even notice them). Rusty has long hair and has much tighter skin--hard to pinch (I have to pull up on his hair to find the skin). He doesn't like the shots and complains even before I have the syringe near him; he also tends to pull back and flinch. In retrospect, I think Stu was chronically dehydrated and therefore had looser skin. He drank a lot of water. I hardly ever see Rusty drinking water, so I make sure to mix it into his food.

Ella

p.s. to Michelle: I haven't seen Shadow since we've been back from Camp. They might be away.

Great start for Rusty! I wish I had long hair and a cat not fond of shots to blame for my furshots!!!

Re: 8/12 Rusty AMPS 123

Nice start to the morning! :-D It sounds like you have a full day planned.

Does Rusty snort and grunt when he's taking a bath? Tess is such a dainty thing , except while grooming! And it is preferably done in one of our laps.

We all had a good day. Edward and Rusty enjoyed lots of time outdoors and I had a good bike ride and a successful trip to the PetSmart in Plattsburgh. I didn't get home 'till late, so Edward fed Rusty his +9 chicken snack (I buy canned chunk-chicken breast in the health-food store and the only ingredients are chicken, water, and salt--180 mg of salt, so I add more water when I transfer the chicken chunks to the 'fridge container). He really likes it. He gets 2 chunks each day, together with lots of the water.
I think Rusty had a good green surf this afternoon, if one is to judge from his PMPS.

Now the kitties are off on the moonbeam express to Australia to celebrate Cheekyface's OTJ. Safe travels, kitties! And don't forget that tomorrow is another party: the Full Sturgeon Moon at Camp Stu.

Everyone have a good Friday evening,

Ella & Rusty

What a great day for Rusty!!! I really miss checking in with you when I am working because I love to hear about Rusty and what you and Edward are up to.

Bike ride sounds great and I'm glad you got the supplies. We will think NO MORE FUR SHOTS just for the future

Looks like Rusty has had a really good day today!!! I sure wish I had your energy...a 20-mile bike ride?!!! I'd get there and then have to call someone to come get me and take me back home!!
