I am so frustrated. I've been waiting since last week for Peggy Sue to get the chemo. I just called the vet & was told the chemo is there but the vet now wants me to drop off Peggy Sue tomorrow & they will call me when he's done.
I told her that's not what DR agree to do last week. He told me he would do the procedure the day it came in & I could wait there. Now they say he will "squeeze" her in between appointments because he's booked solid! Or I can make an Appointment for the 20th!
She's going to be sitting alone in a cage with dogs barking & crying, she'll be so frightened! And I have no idea how long she'll be there. Then I might get a phone call saying she didn't make it!

I am sick thinking about this I do NOT know what to do.

Speak to the Dr directly if you can, or let the staff know what the dr said and that leaving Peggy Sue there in a cage is not an acceptable alternative.

I told her what Dr said last week. She informed me he changed his mind. When I said I don't want to leave her in a cage alone she said all the animals that come here for any procedure are treated the same way . When I asked why I can't wait she said it would make it stressful for the Dr knowing I'm sitting there waiting!

I've called & they tell me he's with a patient he's booked up I can rarely get him on the phone. The tech told me either i drop her off tomorrow or make an appt for next week. No other options!

Then make an appointment - I wouldn't be comfortable leaving her there either - to get to 'when they can'...sheesh...at least he's willing to do it...just my opinion...but you have to do what your heart tells you would be best.

I'm so sorry the vet is being difficult. Can you take her tomorrow and wait anyway? If not, I'd make the appointment. I wouldn't leave her. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Apparently she thinks that the Dr's stress level is important to you :rolleyes::rolleyes: I'm sorry you're going through this JoyBee. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

The Tech just called me back. She said if I bring her in at 9am I can sit & wait with her. The Vet will do the procedure when he gets time. Then when she wakes up they'll bring her back to me in her carrier. I agreed. I've no idea how long I'll be there but at least I'll be with her.

Prayers & positive thoughts for Peggy Sue tomorrow would be greatly appreciated :):bighug::bighug::bighug:

Heart felt appreciation to all of you

Joy, I'm so happy things turned around and you can go and be there with Peggy Sue, the alternatives given to you earlier were not good. Sending Peggy Sue tons of good health vines for the procedure tomorrow and hugs to you. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Let us know how things are going after you get there, we'll have our paws crossed for you. :bighug:

Let us know how things are going after you get there,

I don't have a cell phone ( I think I'm the only person in the world that doesn't) Just can't afford another monthly bill.
I'll get online when I get back with Peggy Sue to let you all know how everything went.

Thank you again to everyone for your support & vines & good wishes for Peggy Sue! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
