8/12/19 LT AMPS 332; 3+ = 239, 6+ 180, PMPS = 412 Have a ?; 3+(after pm meal) 275

If this was a dog, and assuming we were longer than 3 days in, I would say that the insulin is running out before the food. But since LT categorically denies being a dog, he and I want to know what's going on? I'm going to do a 3+ again tonight, but then I might have to back off a bit on testing, except for PS's until I get additional strips in. I'm hoping to see him settle in over the next few days and will do additional testing as strips are available. My dog has been running a bit low lately, so he's required more strips than expected for PS testing.

A little success! You went under 200! LT is Not a dog!!! I see a beautiful cat. Smart too.
Today looks like a fairly common pattern. The peak or nadir is when you saw the lowest number, then the insulin effectiveness wears out by the next shot time. I have read and seen here, that the AMPS and PMPS can be the last numbers to go down. Is that what you meant by what's going on?! Are you new to feline diabetes?
Oops Yes ... I see you know what's going on!
