How discouraging after this morning's nice, trending downward number. Could she have bounced on such a low amount of insulin? Or could it be a food spike? She ate 1.25 oz of chicken pate about an hour before testing.
She did something unexpected tonight - she went upstairs into the master bathroom and curled up on the towel that I'm using as a bathmat right now. (Not-my-cat Simon - neighbors' cat who adopted me - has been peeing on the mats. He also pees on the towels, but those are a lot easier to get clean than the mats!) She generally doesn't go upstairs. I usually feed my dry food addict cat Lucky in the master BR with the door shut, so it was quite a surprise to shut the door, put his dry food out...then find Sunny in the bathroom! I decided she could use a snuggle while Lucky ate, so we had a nice cuddle session. She even gave me a full body-flop across my hand, which she hasn't done since she left her foster room! Silly Lucky decided he'd rather keep an eye on Sunny then eat, so I finally told him he clearly wasn't very hungry and dumped the food back into the jug.
When I thought about it some more, I realized that the mat-towel is the towel I had been using. When Simon peed on the previous towel, I decided to just put down my used one after I cleaned the floor. Maybe that's why she chose it as her spot tonight?
