8/10 Shasta

First day back to work for the new school year. No students this week, just TONS of meetings and an itty, bitty time for teacher planning.

WCR: All Ps in place. I didn't sleep well last night...thinking about all that I need to get done at school and I swear the full moon screws with my sleep. :YMSIGH: However, I did get some good snuggles this morning while I was just lying there! She ate her 1st breffis pretty well, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good appy today. <anti-jinx>

Ok cat, you're +1 isn't supposed to be headed down. There's supposed to be a fuds spike. grrrrr! Well, my paranoia kicked in and I opened up a can of Friskies 14% Turkey Dinner in Gravy.

WTH Shasta! +1.5???? :shock: This is not the send off I was expecting on my first day of school. COOL IT, CHICA! :-x

+2... :? :? :? I've caved. I'm giving her 18% FF Marinated Chicken morsels. She's never had this fud, so I'm hoping she likes it lots and figures out how to surf because right now...she's driving me batty! My meeting doesn't start until 9am (+3), but I really need to get going. BTW, I know that her numbers are lovely, but she just keeps dropping and nothing seems to really be slowing her down and she's only at +2. That's why I'm so worried. The next time I can get home is +11.5 nailbite_smile She must be working off of one helluva curve...super pink last night and her lows are coming now. DAMN YOU CAT! :roll: Wish me luck not to have a nervous break down on day 1 of the new school year. ohmygod_smile

I don't think she surfed well. :sad: I ran home at +6.5 and she was at 135, and slightly disoriented and angry...hissing a bit...pretty sure she hypo crashed. I got her to eat a little food and put out some fresh food, but then I had to leave. This is the worst. :cry: :cry: I am headed home soon to check on her before my chiropractor appointment.

Deborah, do you have a timed feeder? If not, I'd invest in one. You could set it to turn every hour or so and give Shasta some "fresh" food to eat. Adding extra water keeps it fresh longer, and usually when they go low, they look for food.

I hope she levelled off for you and is in a better mood.

I'm sorry Shasta decided to slide down so low on your first day back. I hope she's in better numbers when you get home and surfs safely tonight.

Sorry Tricia, I got cut off by my appointment. Needless to say, Shasta is all decked out with all the goodies. I just don't understand her morning cycles as of late. I see the bounces at night, but these morning drops are ridiculous. I didn't think her shed had gotten so plentiful...heck, she only gets .5-.5f. :YMSIGH: When I checked on her before my appointment, she was 284 (+10.5).
