Yesterday started blue, did a pink bouncette, then spent the night sliding down to green.

8/10 Recap:

Can't say I was surprised at this morning's number. Neko has a relatively new yellow to green slide pattern which involves a really sloooow slide in the first part of the cycle. Plus she was whining for breakfast an hour early, so she was probably lower then.

It's looking like cloud today with some possible showers/T-storms. We're gave up on rowing this morning. Besides Neko's numbers, rowing might be cancelled due to thunderstorms. Rumbles will send at least Neko under the bed. Right now she's brave enough for the deck.

For those who haven't read it yet, Bob's condo yesterday contained some great discussion on bounces. Make sure you read all the links that Jill posted. I learned a lot, and some I've read before but it's good to keep reading it. Neko is a great bouncer. She bounced to black regularly for the first 4 months she was on Lantus, with a reasonable number of HIGH's sprinkled in there. Then she started bouncing to high red and that was progress. :roll: And now after 18 months on Lantus, the worst bounces seem to be in mid pinks. (anti-jinx)

Hope you get some spectacular lightning storms. Very rare in the northwest.

Thanks for pointing out the Bounce info in Bob's condo. Very good information.

Nice start this morning for Neko. I hope she doesn't go too high from that green start. The conversation about bouncing in Bob's condo was very interesting.

So glad Neko is doing better, did anyone save you some of that tasty Paw print pizza slices,
surfing should be a requirement for all kitties think it help's the BG :lol:

Neko's numbers are looking very nice!
I hope you'll hear good news from her vet on Neko's bloodwork.

I went back to bed after zombie-testing & feeding and over slept, so I didn't know thunderstorms were coming. :-D
I hope it didn't scare Neko too badly.

Looks like Neko is dong an S-curve today. :roll:

I got B/W and urinalysis results back with nothing noteworthy. Some numbers are out of range that were in range last time and some that were out of range last time were in this time. Vetty isn't concerned about these one-off numbers. The only consistent thing is her cholesterol is high, but always has run a bit high. And of course glucose was high, why couldn't she have had numbers like she did today. :lol: :lol: We are still awaiting the urine C&S results.

@Rich - The thunderstorm sort of fizzled off and went to the north and east of us. Just one small rumble. One of the best thunderstorms I saw here was a huge one and we were in a Cessna 172 charging for home and dodging thunder cells. :shock: Totally unexpected and spectacular viewpoint. Not something I want to repeat. I kept on thinking, if we have to turn around, who am I going to get to look after the cats?

@Carla - Neko didn't go too high today, and did manage to turn it around. I probably over analyze Neko's bounces, but it is good to have the background info.

@Linda - Neko is surfing now, all ready for the big party tonight. She really ought to lay off the pizza, way too much cheese for her cholesterol. :lol: :lol:

@Mariko - Got partial results on the B/W and urinalysis. Nothing much has changed and still waiting for one test. We only had one small rumble here and Neko came charging in from the solarium and hid under the bed until we got up from our btb.

Hi Wendy,
thanks for the tip about the bouncing discussion in Bob's condo. I've got to check it out, because it seems that Rusty may be becoming a bouncer ( :YMSIGH: he used to have wonderfully even cycles, but, as we all know, these things can and do change).
Neko looks good this afternoon.
Too bad you missed your rowing, but it wouldn't be fun to be out on the water in an electrical storm. What are the boats made of?

@Ella - Paws crossed the bouncing is a time limited thing with Neko. The main thing I've learned is to ignore the bounce and watch the nadir. Easier to say than to do. :lol: Rowing shells are made of carbon fibre, but the riggers for the oars are metal. Electrical storm can usually generate good wind/waves so that's a second reason we stay off the water.

That's a nice run so far today.....

I'm glad there wasn't anything noteworthy in the results....
Paws crossed the rest of the tests are good too....
