Re: 8/11 DC PMPS=272 +2=259

Glad he's doing well on the Lantus.

It takes some time for the Lantus "shed" to build. I'm not sure you'll see a true curve until maybe tomorrow, but I'm sure you'll want to keep an eye on things in case the dose settles in quickly.

Re: 8/11 DC PMPS=272 +2=259

Spot and I welcome you to Lantus Land, Noreen. Glad you made the switch from N to Lantus, and I know you will see better results now...Spot was on N for 7 months before I switched to Lev. Boy, was I kicking myself in the butt for taking so long after I started to see the results (just look at our ss).

Good luck and have a good day!

Re: 8/11 DC AMPS=310 +2=241 +6=220 Day 2

DC seem to be doing well on the Lantus so far.

Here is DC's BG
AMPS = 310
+2 = 241
+6 = 220

Hello my fellow Canuck! Welcome to Lantus land!

One thing that will be very different from your other insulin is that lantus requires patience! I'm sure that you're heard this already, but I'll repeat it again, because you will likely get frustrated (and perhaps yell and bang your head against the computer screen) but it's all normal.....

Have a look around the forum and look at people's spreadsheet (SS), there is a lot of information on there... tonnes to learn!

See you again!

Gave DC his PM shot. He doesn't want to eat his canned food.
His BG is at it's highest since he started on the Lantus yesterday morning

AMPS = 272
+2 = 259
+6 = 220
+9 = 238
PMPS = 311
+3 =259

So far, +6 to +10 seems to be his lowest numbers.

Goodnight everyone.
DC seems fine. He didn't eat as much food as normal tonight, but all else seems good.

Just did the last BG test before bed.

AMPS = 272
+2 = 259
+6 = 220
+9 = 238
PMPS = 311
+3 = 259

Will post again in the morning.
