We had an interesting night. I managed to very carefully,extricate myself from 3 cats on top of covers, hoping to sneak into kitchen for snack. Yeah right! I led a parade down the hall. :roll:

At 3 AM, I just wanted to grab a couple crackers in the dark, and get back to sleep.
Cats had other plans..... "meow meow meow" *sigh*. Oh well, lights are on, let's check Himself.
Wowee! A beautiful green 81, at +7.5.
What a nice surprise that I would have missed, if the little beggers had stayed in bed.
And oh yes, there was food out......they wanted fresh!! :-D

Checkers has vet appt. this afternoon for wellness check and routine testing.

Good luck at the vet's....check him before you go. Do you know if he goes higher from vet stress?
My two usually do but there are some that go the other way! Let us know how it goes...sending good vetty vibes. (August is a big month for vet visits it seems...) Good luck Barb!!! :YMHUG:

Omigoodness, we are in green today. I hope it sticks for a while.
I did sneak a check in, while waiting for vet to come in exam room, last time. It hadn't raised from home.
That was surprising to me. I assumed all cats spiked at vet's. As they say ECID.

Good boy Checkers! That's great that you tested while there Barb...you are so clever! ;-) Raja is a nervous nellie at the vet office but Shadow seems to be less upset. Nice to know that Checkers doesn't spike....hope all goes well!

Oh yeah, this was a fun day at the clinic. cat(2)_steam
Checkers was not pleased with how the doc handled him by the scruff. I swear the guy is afraid of cats. Hehehe.
He brought Checks back in the exam room, holding him out from his body, like a sack of smelly garbage,
muttering "he's not happy".
At the time, I was ticked at how he was holding him, now I think it's funny. :lol:
His specialty is farm animals, but to be scared of my sweet kitty's claws and teeth? :twisted:

Doc called earlier. His word was "awesome" tests. Told me some of the numbers, but I won't get the printout 'til they send it. Everything is in the middle numbers . Last time WBC was slightly low, this time blood is perfect.

He's pleased with Check's bg numbers overall. I brought copy of SS, but I did not like his comment about not having to test so often....my wording.
Tuff....I'll check when I want, Doc!
So, at vet 185
Back home, different meter, of course, 236. Not bad, for all that trauma.

Great news about Checker's blood work! Very happy for you both! :mrgreen:
 
omg on the vet.. :lol: :lol: :lol: I can just see the scene. Too funny! My vet has also told me that I don't need to test so often. oh sure..... Test sound great - nice when all goes well. Good job Checkers!
