Lily's solidly staying green, which is super-exciting! I'm noticing that she's eating more than usual...does that strike anyone as strange or is something normal when cats are coming off the juice?

Thanks for all the good vines for her!

Hi

nice AMBG Lily kitty

If you like, you may want to keep an eye on her weight, by weighing her maybe once a week or so.

Did she eat more than usual this morning? Pretty low number, might have something to do with it if that's the case.
But it's a safe number for no juice.

I just want to say, how lucky Lily is that you caught this when you did.
It's an impressive SS with the diet change and a bit of time on the juice.

Happy Day 4!

Thanks, everyone! Lisa - We especially love the pom pon kitties! :-) Ronnie - She was low this a.m. but she seems hungrier in general. She's actually gaining back some of the weight that she lost, and looking a lot less hollow, especially in her flanks. She went from 14 lbs to 9 in two months, which is one of the ways we knew she was so sick. She's back up to 10.5 lbs and I'm not really worried about her getting fat, but actually more worried about whether I'm feeding her enough! She's getting nothing but lean protein and looking really good, but after spending her first month on insulin trying to get her to eat *anything*, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Allegra, her civvie sister, is almost 16 lbs, and she's losing because of the new LC or NC food, so that's good, too!

Thank you, everyone!

p.s. Ronnie - I sent pics to CD today. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we make it to day 14!

Libby - I have to tell you that Lucy's beautiful eyes and her quizzical expression just make me so happy whenever I see a post from you two! I'm trying desperately not to over-test cuz this is one persnickety sensitive feline, but I just had to do a +4 and it is 69, after food. Wow! I was on the verge of putting this cat to sleep 6 weeks ago. I am so humbled, and angry about the lack of awareness of this issue at the same time.
