Wait until you have to adjust for a time change. OMG talk about confusing and totally screwed up schedules.
I don't even want to think about that. Yikes. I hate time change to begin with.

I am just thinking I will probably be starting a new insulin vial tomorrow. Is it ok to increase when starting the new vial? The one I am finishing is 3 months old today (but traveled home in the camper fridge last week - only 10 minutes). We had a string of blues and greens, so I am pretty sure the insulin is still working.

Also, if there isn't a full dose in the old vial ... I'm assuming I have to throw it out. I wouldn't think I would want to stick the syringe in both vials? I just hate to waste even a drop!

ETA - fixed a typo

I wouldn't change a vial that you suspect, and the dose on the same cycle. Having said that, his numbers aren't hugely different from before he went camping so you are probably OK doing both.

Every time you poke the syringe, you make it less sharp.

I wouldn't spilt the dose like that, unless you have a high dose cat. I think if you are throwing away less than 8 units out of a vial, you had gotten pretty good use out of it!

I do poke same syringe into old pen and new pen to get every drop. I know, I know... it is frowned upon, but Bronx doesn't seem to mind one bit.

+2.75 = 302; retested = 386 :banghead:

Last few tests have had very little blood, so I retested to make sure accurate reading
These numbers are so frustrating lately. I've given up for tonight. I don't expect anything stellar overnight, so I'm sleeping. Increase in the morning.
