After 12+ hours of blue, Chino is bouncing again. If he doesn't come back down to green before tomorrow morning, we're going up to 13.5 units.
I finally heard back from his vet this morning. She made some calls and couldn't find anyone else who has used cabergoline for acromegaly (as expected), but she is willing to give it a try if I'll sign a release first, since this will be off-label use and there's no known information about long-term side effects. It will take some time for the pharmacy to have it ready, since they have to order the pill and then compound it, and it will be $90 for a 30-day supply, but if there's even a chance that it will make a difference then it's worth pursuing. I'm hoping they can fax me the form (she's going to check and call me back) so I can sign and return it today.
