Guessing we are going to be hanging out in the yellows again most, if not all, of this day cycle. We are still using the libre but will try to get a +6 ish manual test also, just for our own peace of mind -- to be sure that the libre isn't as off in the mid/high range as it seems to be in the low range.

Wishing all of the kitties and their humans a great, safe and healthy day.

We got a +4 171 on the libre so decided to check against the one touch. One touch = 229. I guess that's pretty close given the margin of error allowed for each...? It is at least closer than the 100 point difference last cycle when Callie's BG was lower.

We tried to do another comparison of the libre and one touch at +7. One touch =154 but unfortunately we got an error from the libre. (The libre reading immediately before this was 122 at +6.5 so it seems like they aren't too far apart. Will try to get another libre reading at +7.5.) Regardless, we are pretty happy with the general trend of the numbers in this cycle (definitely some blues!) and I am glad to have been wrong about thinking we were settling into the yellows today :)

So mad at myself - I accidentally grabbed Callie's old high carb dry food kernels instead of low carb Young Again to treat Callie when we did manual BG at + 7. We don't give much when we do this -- just use it as treats not meal food -- but I'm thinking it is at least part of the reason she spiked up to the (high) 300s again. Cannot believe I did that after such a good day. PMPS + 379, +1.25 305.

I haven't been around long enough yet to grasp how dry food would impact numbers. I'm sure it had some impact, but for how long is the unknown. Callie had some good numbers for most of today. Mistakes happen and she will get back on track. Don't beat yourself up over it. I've fed Butters a can of HC wet food by mistake before! I was tired and not paying attention. She loved it!

Thanks, Lyla - trying not to beat myself up too much but I just couldn't believe when I saw those high 300s again. (Like Butters, Callie definitely loved it so I guess there's an upside to everything if you look for it lol.) It does seem like she's coming down a bit now so fingers crossed any damage was brief.

Don't stress too much over a small HC treat, it will probably affect the BG but not that much, i think the high values you see now are a bounce. As Lyla said, we all did some mistakes at some point, some are bigger than others... trust me, your mistake is not big :)

Thank you :bighug:
