I'm having a lot of trouble with my meter today. It errored out on the first test so I did a second one and got 44. I wanted to double check the number and tested 3 more times and got errors. I pulled out my backup meter and got 52. So she's definitely on the low side. I gave her some medium carb food (15% carbs) on top of the LC she had already eaten (I didn't catch her before she ate her normal +2) and will test again in 30 minutes. Hopefully the meter will cooperate this time.
I am still having trouble controlling these big drops early on. I found an old condo about feeding the curve that mentioned front loading the cycle with food so I decided to try that. I switched to 1/3 of a can of Fancy Feast at preshot, +1, and +1.5 with 1/4 can given at +2 and +3. It seems to help a little bit still not as much as I would like.
Any more ideas on how to slow the big drops?
