Good morning LL!

Sunny yellow today. All 5 p's present and Tarragon was happy furry purry this morning. He was pink last night which must have been a bounce. I am looking forward to the weekend so i can get in a curve.

OT: It's August already. Crazy how time flies! Of course it is still hot hot hot here with a high of 115 yesterday and higher for today. Voluntary water rationing started yesterday but will probably be changed to mandatory rationing today. Our low the past couple of nights were a record for the highest low ever at around 88 - 90. The highest temp Tulsa has ever seen is 118 in 1936. Paws crossed we don't break that one, but it looks like we might.

Have a great day all!

Same to you, Melissa, and Tarragon of course!

We get compulsory water rationing here in South Africa too, depending on how full the dams are. We're getting a decent amount of rain right now, it's been a mild but fairly wet winter. Not today though - it's been sunny all morning

oh wow - that is HOT there. I can't even imagine what 115 would feel like... I hope you can stay cool. Expected on the water rationing... oh what fun.

Not too bad of a start for Tarragon today. Bummer on the pink yesterday, but it seems like it was short-lived and onto good things today. Think blue Mr T!

Enjoy your day today Melissa.

Re: 8/1 Tarragon AMPS 242

Morning Melissa, and I can't get over how hot for so long, too. I'm glad Tarragon is all purry and happy. It's hump day, so weekend is around the corner. Have a nice day and scritches to Tarragon, Turnup and Charlie bear.

Re: 8/1 Tarragon AMPS 242

I'm hoping for better #s for you from Mr. T, Melissa. Hang in there. :YMHUG:

Please stay cool up there. I hear you about the heat. We're under a heat advisory, and the people that we get our electricity from (not the community company, but the main head honchos) have asked the public to conserve electricity so that there won't be any rolling blackouts. I tend to shut the computers down at around 10, and then unplug them from the wall, because even though they're plugged into the power bars, and the bars are shut off, the power bars are still plugged into the wall and drawing power. Unfortunately, I can't reach mine from the wall because it's right behind the desk. So, I unplug everything from my power bar, and unplug the manthing's bars from the wall. It helps.

Come down a bit there, T! Glad to hear he's happy and purry!!

115...yikes!!!! I love the heat, but I think that's pushing it a bit. Fingers crossed you don't break that 118 record!!

Re: 8/1 Tarragon AMPS 242

Oh, WOW, Melissa - I hope y'all have a break in the heat SOON! Still happy and purry even in the heat? What a sweet boy he is!!

I hope his bounce is history and y'all don't break the heat record!!

Stay cool -

Re: 8/1 Tarragon AMPS 242

Hi Melissa. I hope Tarragon had/is having, a nice day.

I was in Tulsa over Labor Day weekend in 1995. First time I was ever out of the East, and was shocked at the nighttime heat.
It was a 'girls' weekend, and all the other 'girls' were from neighboring states and were accustomed to the heat. They were outside enjoying the very hot, humid, Tulsa night air, and I kept running into the AC'd house, to cool off. How embarrassing.

We've had rain for the last 3 days, so it was gorgeous to work outside today.

Good grief on your temperatures! ohmygod_smile
If the heat continues on this pace, you may soon be able to grow cactus like these in your yard!
